Creativity doesn't stop at the canvas! A little journey around my home filled with holiday fun!

One of the things I love about decorating for the seasons is the opportunity to play, experiment, and transform familiar spaces into something unexpected. A little whimsy, a touch of mystery, a splash of color, and suddenly the ordinary feels magical.

For me, decorating is simply another form of creative expression. It's about the joy of making, arranging, and bringing a little personality into the spaces we call home.

Here's a peek at some of the Halloween fun happening around my house! 🧡🖤

A special thank you to Sheila McMillen for blessing me with much of this holiday decor! Especially love the new goose outfit! 🪿 🦆

Destination unknown...

As I share this final look at The Inner Yes, I find myself reflecting on what this exhibition has meant to me, not just as an artist, but personally.

Seeing all of this work together in one space was a powerful experience. Each piece represents a moment of curiosity, discovery, uncertainty, or trust. Together, they tell a story of what happens when I give myself permission to explore, follow my intuition, and say "yes" to the creative process.

Creating this body of work, bringing it together, and sharing it with others has been a journey in itself. I am deeply grateful to everyone who took the time to visit, participate, share their thoughts, or simply spend a little time with the work. Your presence became part of the experience. Thank you Adrian Center for the Arts for this opportunity and for all your incredible support and encouragement.

Although the exhibition has come to an end, what it has given me will continue to unfold. I leave this experience with a sense of gratitude, a little more understanding of myself, and renewed curiosity about where my art will take me next. It's time to move on. I'm saying "Goodbye!" to The Inner Yes and considering what's next. I am excited, even while I have no clear idea of where my creative process is taking me. In uncertainty, I now trust my intuition and let it guide me. Destination unknown.

The part of a solo exhibition you don't often see.

The Inner Yes at Adrian Center for the Arts has come to a close, and now comes the quieter, less glamorous part of being an artist—bringing it all home.

My dining room is filled with boxes, artwork, packing materials, and the pieces of a show that took so much time and care to bring together.

As I unpack, I'm reminded of just how much work goes into a solo exhibition beyond creating the art itself. There is the planning, selecting, framing, labeling, packing, transporting, arranging, hanging, promoting, and welcoming people into the space. And then, when it's over, every bit of it happens in reverse.

It's a tremendous amount of physical, mental, and emotional energy.

There's something bittersweet about taking it all apart. For a little while, these works lived together in a space where they could tell a larger story. Now they're finding their places back in my home.

I'm tired, grateful, and still carrying the joy of having shared The Inner Yes with so many people.

This, too, is part of the life of an artist. Not just making the work, but everything it takes to share it with the world.

Ottillie's Basket is back! The Inner Yes Exhibit wouldn't be complete without this piece. It is a creation that is steeped in personal meaning and developed through my trust in intuition and my own creative process. It is a perfect example of what happens when I follow my inner yes. After years of art making, I find integrity and truth in silencing judgement, external opinion, and societal expectations. Instead, my work and my process are mine. The Inner Yes might end tomorrow, but my journey of saying "Yes!" to intuition and my creative process is mine for a lifetime.

I will be attending the closing of The Inner Yes from 2-4 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday, October 4th, with a gallery talk at 3 pm. Come join me, family, friends, and art enthusiasts for the final day of The Inner Yes exhibition at the Adrian Center for the Arts and leave all your NOs at the door!

A little walk through The Inner YES.

This exhibition brings together artwork, objects, stories, and pages from The Way of Intuitive Art: Finding Meaning Through Making—each one connected to the process of listening, noticing, and trusting what draws our attention.

As you move through the exhibition, you don’t have to understand everything or even know why something catches your eye. Just notice what calls to you.

What makes you curious? What makes you want to move closer?

That’s where the Inner Yes begins.

Come wander, look, read, and perhaps discover something that speaks to you.

I will be attending the closing of The Inner Yes from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, October 4th, with a gallery talk at 3 pm. The exhibit ends on Sunday, October 4th. Come join me, family, friends, and art enthusiasts for the final day of The Inner Yes exhibition at the Adrian Center for the Arts. Leave all your NOs at the door!

This weekend marks the closing of The Inner YES, my solo exhibition at the Adrian Center for the Arts and I would love to share it with you.

I’ll be talking about the work, the stories and discoveries behind it, and the intuitive process that connects this exhibition with my book, The Way of Intuitive Art: Finding Meaning Through Making.

My 15 minutes of fame in a very small corner of the world! I'm excited to share my creations at Adrian Center for the Arts, and I am thrilled that The Lenawee Voice is helping me get the word out. I can't wait to share my intuitive art workshop on October 3rd from 1-4pm. With the closing on October 4th from 2-4pm, I will be giving a gallery talk. I am looking forward to sharing the "why?" behind this installation of over 50 of my 2D and 3D works. Hoping to see family, friends, gallery members, and other art enthusiasts on the 3rd and the 4th of October.

It's true. I'm a little excited.

A little walk through The Inner Yes, my solo exhibition at the Adrian Center for the Arts

This show brings together paintings, assemblages, found objects, memories, and pieces of my own history. It is also connected to my book, The Way of Intuitive Art: Finding Meaning Through Making, with many of the works in the exhibition appearing in its pages.

At the heart of both the book and the exhibition is something I have learned through years of making: when we follow our intuition and pay attention to what emerges, our creative work can reveal meaning we never could have planned.

If you’re near Adrian, I hope you’ll come experience The Inner Yes in person.

October 4th, from 2pm to 4pm, is the closing of The Inner Yes. I will be there for the closing and I hope to see you. I'm especially excited about my gallery talk at 3pm on October 4th. I'm even more thrilled about meeting fellow artists, art enthusiasts, friends and family. I can't wait to learn and share with you all.
