I'm always fascinated by how certain foods get stuck with one reputation, even when there's so much more to their nutritional story.
Prunes are a perfect example. And while I'm not here to convince you that any single food is a miracle cure, I do think we sometimes overlook perfectly good options because of outdated assumptions about sugar, carbs, or what ""healthy eating"" is supposed to look like.
What I find especially interesting is how much we're still learning about foods we've been eating for generations. Prunes may not be the first thing that comes to mind when we think about bone health, but the research gives us another reason to appreciate what they have to offer.
In my latest Substack post, I'm digging into the science, sharing some surprisingly delicious ways to enjoy prunes, and giving these humble dried plums some well-deserved credit. ๐
