Good afternoon, Our Medical Office would like to share important information about mosquito bites.
Check in with your child's pediatrician if you see any redness, swelling or pus, or if the area around the bite feels warm to the touch. The best way to prevent a mosquito bite is to use repellent against insect bites.

There have been recent reports on an increase in measles cases in New York. Measles is a highly contagious viral infection that affects the respiratory system. The symptoms of measles usually appear 10-14 days after exposure and include fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, and a characteristic rash that starts on the face and then spreads to the rest of the body. Fall 🍁 has officially begun! Summer is over but there is something that is not over yet... Mosquito bites! Mosquito's are cold blooded so they will not be going away until under 50 degrees. 80% of Mosquito bites occur now, therefore be aware. Here is an example of what mosquito bites look like.
