We wanted to shoutout one of our amazing Visual Designer, Minjoo Kim, for participating in Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year!

Artists from all over the UK and Ireland compete in a creative, televised showdown, each trying to capture the essence of this year’s celebrity sitters on canvas. Minjoo was chosen to compete based on the self-portrait she submitted, and her painting of celebrity master chef Jimi Famurewa was his favorite!

We are so grateful to be surrounded by such amazing, creative people everyday. Visit https://hubs.la/Q02Z2qg70 to watch a highlight clip of the 2024 season.

According to the Epilepsy Foundation, many of the reasons why people don’t get the care they need are because of the fears, stigmas, and misconceptions associated with epilepsy. At Jumo Health, we’ve made it our mission to help bridge the health equity gap for epilepsy and over 180 other conditions by creating easy-to-understand materials for some of the top pharmaceutical companies in the world.

If you’re working on an upcoming epilepsy clinical trial or looking to develop educational materials that can help combat the misconceptions and stigmas associated with this neurological disorder, we’d love to talk.

When tasked with a new project, we start by listening to the client about their specific study goals and challenges they face with the patient population they are trying to reach. We customize all materials to the specific condition, age, language, and culture of that unique population to ensure patients have relatable medical resources to make an informed decision.

Aligning with our clients on the audience and study goal allows for increased enrollment and a higher retention rate, which makes study timelines faster and more cost efficient.

She was inspired to pursue a career in clinical research in 2016, following work in oncology-based academic research focused on health outcomes for underserved communities; this community involvement drove her passion for helping others gain access to critical healthcare resources.

According to an NIH study, only 16% of people in the US believe they have a basic knowledge of what epilepsy is. Yet, understanding your condition and your options for care are essential to managing it. In fact, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), “70% of people living with epilepsy could be seizure-free with [the] appropriate use of anti-seizure medicines.”

At Jumo Health, we believe the best way to combat the misconceptions and stigmas associated with epilepsy is through education. Whether it’s a comic book for kids, a video that shares someone’s personal journey, a roundtable discussion, or a community engagement event, we know how to reach people authentically, thoughtfully embracing differences and opening the lines of communication.

If you’re looking to capture real stories from real people living with epilepsy, we can help. Email us at [email protected] to start the conversation today!

This year’s theme for Epilepsy Awareness Month is “Share Your Purple Power,” to emphasize the power of patient stories to end the stigma associated with epilepsy.

Nylah found out she had epilepsy when she was a freshman in high school, and the first thing she thought about was how she was going to be a normal kid after the diagnosis. She found that being open and honest with her friends and family was the best way to manage this fear.

If you’d like to learn more about how we create our custom “In My Shoes” videos to share patient stories, visit https://hubs.la/Q02X3jm50.

This month, we’ve been incredibly blessed to learn more about four incredible women who have been touched by breast cancer in one way or another. Each story offered new insights from different perspectives, and we couldn’t be more grateful that they took the time to talk with us this month.

From Michelle, we learned that having a therapist to talk to when her mom was going through treatment was extremely helpful. Denise’s story gave us some excellent ways to support someone undergoing treatment. LaToya’s story stressed the importance of counting blessings and being kind to yourself. And Jennifer’s story highlighted how staying active and continuing to do the things she loved, even if it wasn’t at the level she typically would, helped her stay strong.

Diverse representation in clinical research continues to be a challenge for Pharma sponsors. To overcome this, we have to first understand why the problem exists, and then work together to find solutions that help promote true health equity. In a recent article published by Clinical Research News, Jumo Health CEO, Kevin Aniskovich, outlined how to effectively increase diversity in clinical research by focusing on community-based approaches. In order to increase participation in clinical trials, we need to first educate people about the clinical trial process, and at Jumo Health we are focused on creating easy-to-understand materials to do just that.

Joe Brady, our AVP of Customer & Creative Strategy, had the opportunity to sit down with our partner Brindley Brooks at HS Connect for the first episode of their Clinical Trials 101 series. They discussed the different phases of clinical trials, Informed Consent, the necessity for diverse representation, and much more.
