Hillary Lin, MD Longevity physician and Stanford-trained, board-certified internist. More years. More choices. Medicine, science and AI to help you understand your options.

Co-founder and CEO of Curator; host of The Longevity Show. I'm Dr. Hillary Lin, a Stanford-trained internal medicine physician and longevity clinician. I use this page to make longevity medicine more rigorous and less hype-driven: what labs can and cannot tell you, when medications or supplements make sense, how to think about prevention, and where the evidence is thin. For clinic support: [email protected]. For CareCore: [email protected]. CareCore builds clinically governed protocol infrastructure for evidence-based care and health products. This page is Hillary Lin, MD, so the center of gravity here is physician judgment, science translation, and practical prevention — not miracle claims or one-size-fits-all optimization.

My genetic test seemed wrong.

High cholesterol runs in my family. Mine was high too, but I didn’t have the classic genetic finding for inherited high cholesterol.

That didn’t mean the test was wrong, or that genetics played no role. It meant I still needed to look at my bloodwork and family history.

The label says “not for human consumption”. People are injecting it anyway.

On a peptide vial, “research use only” can sound reassuring. It does not prove what is inside or that it is sterile.

The seller is telling you it is not for human use. That deserves more attention than the scientific-sounding label.

Feeling as though everyone else is trying peptides?

Beyond GLP-1s, I haven’t seen the miraculous results I keep hearing about online. I still talk with patients about the cautions and what we do and don’t know.

My take: there is a lot more to learn, and no reason to make a health decision from FOMO.

Your genes are personal. The data behind your risk score may not represent you well.

Many genetic heart-risk scores draw heavily on European-ancestry data. Performance can drop when a score is used in people underrepresented in its development.

The question is how well that score predicts risk for you, alongside your health history and measured risk factors.

Wei-Wu He, PhD, and I discuss why this matters.
