Hey, My Beauties!
Chag Sukkot Sameach!🌿✨
Sukkot, known as the Festival of Booths and Festival of Ingathering, is a seven-day Jewish holiday rooted in both history and harvest. The Torah connects Sukkot with the temporary shelters in which the Israelites dwelled after leaving Egypt, reminding us of the protection they experienced during their journey through the wilderness. Rabbinic tradition also teaches that these shelters can be understood as the Clouds of Glory that surrounded and protected the Israelites during their 40 years in the desert.
Sukkot is also a celebration of the autumn harvest, a time to pause, give thanks for abundance, and remember that the things we build and possess are not permanent. As we gather in the sukkah, surrounded by nature and the Four Kinds (the lulav, hadassim, aravot, and etrog), may we be reminded to appreciate what we have, embrace joy, and carry gratitude with us. 🌿🍋🍎🍯
Wishing you and your loved ones a beautiful, joyful, and meaningful Sukkot! Chag Sameach!
