Luxury for me isn’t about simply being in a gorgeous place, it’s about embodying how much I belong there. 💓🌙

As I celebrated my birthday on October 10th in the beautiful city of Miami, alongside one of my best friends in the world, who flew all the way from Los Angeles to spend a few fun-filled days with me in the sun, I realized just how happy I was to step away for a few days and soak in the preciousness of life.💃🏻

Life isn’t perfect. In fact, most days we are reckoning with scenarios that we probably didn’t choose but have no choice but to navigate.

But the balance is found, if we’re lucky, in those small moments of laughter with a college friend, the fun of a sexy new fit you bought yourself to go out on the town, or the feeling of warm sun and salty water as you swim out to a sandbar. 🌞🕶️

Feeling the immense impact Gloria Steinem made on us all. Movement maker, culture shaker, truth speaker. We are because she was. 🩷

So grateful to have spent time with her in the spring of 2015.

I remember telling her about my brand, Beyond Mom- creating a space for mothers to find their voices as woman, as individuals, in a culture that wants to box them in, define them. 💃🏻

What an incredible woman- may she rest in peace after a lifetime of such hard and powerful work. 🕊️✨❤️

I needed a good reminder of just how beautiful life can be 🪻🌸💁🏻‍♀️

how delicious, how luxurious, how colorful, how funny, how magical and how right at my fingertips all those good vibes really are. 💓

I remember telling my kids in a conversation a few years back that as serious as life can be, joy is actually our birthright. 🥰

What balances out the heavy, the grief, the pain are the moments that we look up and say to ourselves:

25th College Reunion 🙃

When you go to a place that holds so many memories, do you feel you are the same person as way back when? Or have you changed? 💓

The more that time passes, the more I see I’m who I’ve always been. 🙏🏼

“I write this on the Monday morning after my 25th college reunion at Skidmore College, and I am both tired and incredibly nourished, but specifically nourished in the places that don’t always get airtime or expression. 🙃

I’m reminded of how much we need, especially as we age, opportunities to reminisce, be silly, laugh, dance, and frankly, have a big old break from our responsibilities. Even the ones we love the most.”
