This is your sign. Be spontaneous, plan that last minute camping weekend, and don’t let anyone tell you it’s silly to want to drive around and take pictures of the fall foliage.

I’ve been fascinated this year with the idea of “peak foliage” which seems to be about the lack of green more than the amount of colorful leaves left ON the trees 🤔

Each week has seemed to have its own magic, from tips of color on a lush green maple to half skeleton, but fully yellowed ash.

Especially on our walk through the Hurleyville The Sullivan O&W Rail Trail this weekend the nakedness of the trees were providing such multivaried views.

To the left, across blue water I could imagine Robert Frost soaking in the beauty of nature. While our right gave glimpses of marshy purples, yellows, and blacks where the Brontë Sisters and Edgar Alan Poe could easily while away an afternoon in dreary dreaming.
