Therapists are so culturally incompetent and clueless that Men will literally study Paracelsus, translate 1600s alchemical texts and distill potions to treat depression before trusting a therapy to help. Based on the research they don’t seem wrong. Men and boys continue to be the primary folks that kill themselves year after year - this su***de awareness month it is time for therapists to do more than be aware of how badly they are failing these folks.

🧑‍⚖️ 📃 Don’t get defrauded or worse by unlicensed coaches - a coaching certificate from an online private school is about as legit as a degree from Trump University. Most coaches have no training and license to help people with protected issues like trauma, anxiety, health, wellness, Adhd, etc. and anything you say to them can be used in court as they have no legal privileges to confidentiality.

While conducting licensed professional services without a license is a class e felony in most states (eg plumbing, construction, mental health counseling + coaching without a license) they are not well enforced by states - I know you would never believe laws protecting rights aren’t enforced in the 🇺🇸… 👩‍⚖️ 📃
