At DocGo, our dedicated Training and Education team keeps our clinicians up to date with the latest procedures and best practices, all while empowering our team on how best to serve our patients.

Ambulnz by DocGo has recently been designated as an American Heart Association (AHA)-Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) Training Center, one of the only ASLS training centers in Manhattan/5 Boroughs. As an ASLS training center, DocGo employees will be able to obtain AHA Advanced Stroke Life Support certification, allowing for the most comprehensive assessment and treatment of prehospital strokes.

Our National Director of Clinical Excellence, Les Polk, and Louis Imperatrice, our National Manager of Clinical Excellence attended the Advanced Stroke Life Support Regional Instructor Essentials course at Nuvance Health in Danbury, CT, over the course of two days hosted by the University Of Miami Gordon Center and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.

It's Skin Cancer Awareness Month!

Skin Cancer Awareness Month raises awareness about the dangers of skin cancer and promotes prevention and early detection. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States, with millions of cases diagnosed each year.

Our Senior Director of Clinical Practice Group, Sherri Suozzo, PHD, provided sun safety tips and guidelines to help prevent skin cancer in a lunch-and-learn event. She encourages regular skin checks and screenings to detect suspicious spots or moles early on.

Here are some of her tips:
-Wear UV protective gear. Hats, scarves, UV-blocking sunglasses.
-Use Sunscreen SPF 50+ and reapply every 2 hours
-Avoid excessive tanning

And most importantly, reach out to your primary care provider if you notice any unusual spots, sores, skin pain or tenderness on your skin.

An ambulance crew in Wisconsin recently assisted in delivering a precious new arrival into the world! Critical Care Paramedic Will Beatty and Advanced EMT Michael Roth safely delivered a baby in the back of our ambulance.

The crew was awarded an honorary "Stork Pin" from the local hospital for actively participating in the out-of-hospital delivery of a newborn. Ryan Brothers Ambulance is the 911 provider to Lake Mills, Wisconsin, and a part of the DocGo family.

We're overjoyed to have played a part in this beautiful moment and extend our warmest wishes to the newest addition to the City of Lake Mills!
