New Community Extended Care Facility is a 180-bed skilled nursing facility.

At New Community Extended Care Facility, we pride ourselves on our highly trained and professional caregivers, who work in conjunction with our administrative staff to maintain the highest standard of care for our residents. The health care team, along with residents and their families, will develop a comprehensive individual plan of care to meet each resident’s specific needs. Our ongoing educati

onal programs ensure that our staff is always current with the latest developments and techniques in the health care arena. We also provide support to families in bereavement and offer a monthly Alzheimer’s support group for caregivers. Our bi-lingual staff includes:

Our Director of Admissions Julienne Van-Nooten attended the VA Caregiver Support Annual Summit yesterday at the VA New Jersey Health Care System located in East Orange. The theme of this year's summit was “Beyond the Caregiving Role: Seeing the Whole Caregiver.” Julienne shared information about a variety of New Community Corporation's programs and services.

We celebrated Black History Month with our residents on Friday afternoon. Our residents shared information about prominent Black figures, sang songs, read poetry and talked about their life experiences. They also enjoyed a warm meal, music and dancing. We hope everyone had a fantastic time!
