Shoulder Subluxation vs.
Biceps Tendonitis
(and why they’re secretly connected)
🔹 SHOULDER SUBLUXATION
A partial dislocation — the humerus slips out of the socket and back in.
Feels like: instability, clicking, “loose” shoulder, sharp pain with movement.
🔹 BICEPS TENDONITIS
Inflammation of the long head of the biceps tendon at the front of the shoulder.
Feels like: dull ache, pain lifting or reaching overhead, worse at night.

A WEAK ROTATOR CUFF.
When the small stabilizers underperform, the joint becomes unstable AND the biceps tendon gets overloaded trying to compensate.
The Ripple Effect
Shoulder subluxation doesn’t stay in the shoulder.
The body recruits the neck and jaw muscles to stabilize →
😬 Neck tightness
😬 Headaches
😬 TMJ tension & clenching
Slide 6 — How Acupuncture Helps
🌿 Acupuncture can:
✔️ Release rotator cuff trigger points
✔️ Calm tendon inflammation
✔️ Restore joint stability
✔️ Unwind neck & jaw compensation
