ABOUT THE CENTER FOR PREVENTION & COUNSELING
For more than 45 years, The Center for Prevention and Counseling, Inc., a private non-profit 501(c)3 organization, has been dedicated to building healthy families and communities in Sussex County, New Jersey. Today, The Center continues to lead its community to appreciate wellness through prosperous drug-free lives using a holistic approach to addressing the disease of addiction. The Center’s far-reaching and impactful services include prevention programs to reduce substance use and promote positive physical and behavioral health; outpatient clinical services to adolescents and adults; substance use disorder and addiction recovery coaching, educational workshops, advocacy, and support meetings. In addition, The Center operates the Sussex County Recovery Community Center, Vernon Coalition, Coalition for Healthy & Safe Communities, C.L.E.A.R. (Community Law Enforcement Addiction Recovery Program), STAR (Support Team for Addiction), M-WRAP (Maternal Wrap-Around services for mothers), WISE (Wellness Initiative for Senior Education), regional efforts for Tobacco-Free for Healthy New Jersey (TFHNJ) and much, much more. What a spooktacular night! 👻

We had a hauntingly good time celebrating Halloween with our recovery community! From festive costumes and tasty treats to music, dancing, and delicious dinner, the evening was filled with spirit 🧡🖤

A big thank you to everyone who came out, showed off their Halloween spirit, and helped make the night so special!

We’re grateful for opportunities like these to bring our recovery community together! Thanks to DJ Nick for the killer jams! Thank you to Christ Church for providing this wonderful space for celebrations!

Tonight, we rolled out our mats and made time to stretch and breathe through vinyasa yoga!

A reminder from tonight’s practice: “You’ve achieved perfection by simply coming to your mat.” Sometimes, showing up for yourself is the biggest accomplishment of all. We’re grateful for the opportunity to slow down and connect with our recovery community, one breath at a time.
