Thank you to all of our amazing community partners who came together to share valuable resources, support, and information with new and expecting moms and their families. It takes a village, and we’re so grateful to be part of such a wonderful community!

Social isolation is a silent challenge that deeply impacts a person’s mental well-being, but often goes unnoticed. When someone feels disconnected from others over time, even simple daily interactions can start to feel intimidating, making it harder for them to ask for support. As a community, it’s important that we recognize the signs of loneliness in friends, family, or neighbors because we have the ability to make a powerful difference.

Reaching out doesn’t require any grand sentiments or perfect wording. You just have to show up. By creating meaningful connection and allowing someone to feel seen, you can brighten their entire week and help lift them out of their isolation. If someone in your life comes to mind when reading this, trust your instincts and reach out to do a gentle check-in. By building these intentional habits of connection, we can build stronger, healthier, and more compassionate communities. Together.

"Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much." - Helen Keller

RSV is a common virus that usually feels like a mild cold. But babies, older adults, and people with certain health conditions can get much sicker and may even need hospital care. The good news is that vaccines are available for infants and toddlers, pregnant people, everyone 75 and older, and adults 50–74 who have certain risk factors. Talk with your health care provider about how to protect yourself and your family from RSV this season, or visit pa.gov/stayhealthy.
