Somewhere along the way, we started normalizing the wrong things.
Chronic stress. Constant exhaustion. Overworking. Living with pain. Never slowing down.
We call it being an adult. We call it being responsible. We call it life.
But somehow, we call massage a luxury.
When did being stressed, overwhelmed, and physically uncomfortable become proof that we’re doing life right, while the things that help us feel better became optional?
I don’t think running on empty should be the standard. Pain shouldn’t just become something we learn to live with. And rest, comfort, and being cared for shouldn’t have to be earned.
Maybe it’s time we stop normalizing what wears us down and start making room for what helps us feel better.
