It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Keith Mitchell, who transitioned unexpectedly on July 1.
Keith was more than an NFL All-Pro and Pro Bowler. He was a father, son, brother, author, speaker, mindfulness teacher, yoga practitioner, mentor, and healing presence to people around the world.

As Keith’s loving sister Syreeta Mitchell, I am honored to step forward on behalf of our family to protect his legacy and continue the mission he devoted his life to building. Through The Keith Mitchell Legacy Initiative, we will carry his work forward through education, wellness, mindfulness, youth empowerment, scholarships, and service.

Friday, July 24th, would have been Keith’s birthday. We invite you to honor him by participating in this week’s events, sharing his light, and supporting the work ahead.

This meditation reveals all - literally. Can you truly see yourself? Disrobe and observe yourself? Forgive and love yourself?

Your workout is a conversation with your body.

Keith reminds us that training isn’t just about pushing harder.

It’s about listening. Feeling your body. Checking in with sensation. Breathing through what shows up.

That’s Acceptance in action.

Instead of fighting discomfort, you treat it as information. You build trust by responding, not reacting. Movement becomes mindfulness, and the relationship with your body starts to change.

This week we’re sharing a guided exercise from Keith’s book to help you practice this conversation for real.

Follow along and keep exploring Acceptance inside The Mindfulness Mastery Playbook - Keith's first book - Now available on Amazon.

Ever feel like your life is trying to tell you… there’s more here?

That feeling isn’t random. It’s an invitation. But nothing changes unless you first accept where you are right now - breath, body, thoughts, and all.

Most of us live in reactive breathing without even noticing. Chest breathing keeps the nervous system on alert, feeding stress and survival patterns. Belly breathing does the opposite. It slows you down. It creates space. It reminds your body that you are safe enough to be present.

Acceptance begins here - not in some grand life decision, but in the simple act of noticing your breath and choosing differently.

Every deep breath is a small agreement with yourself:
“I accept this moment. I’m here. I’m participating.”

When you practice that thousands of times a day, you shift your internal environment. Stress softens. Clarity grows. And from that grounded place, you start making choices that align with the life you feel calling you forward.

There is more for you. Acceptance is what opens the door.

This month we’re breaking down Strategy 2: Acceptance from The Mindfulness Mastery Playbook. Read along, practice with intention, and bring your reflections with you as we move through it together.
