Sugar cravings used to feel like an actual BATTLE for me. 😂
And for a long time, I thought the answer was just…
Have more willpower.
Be stricter.
Stop eating sugar.
Try harder.
Which honestly just made me feel like crap every time I “failed.”
What I know now is that cravings are not always a character flaw.
They’re not always proof that you have no discipline.
And they’re definitely not always something you fix by taking more food away.
Sometimes your body is trying to tell you something.
Sometimes your routine is working against you.
Sometimes your stress, sleep, habits, timing, or the way you’re eating during the rest of the day is setting you up to feel like you have zero control by nighttime.
And once I finally understood that…
Everything changed.
I stopped feeling like I had to constantly fight myself.
I stopped thinking I needed to be “good” all day.
And I started understanding WHY certain patterns kept happening instead of just blaming myself for them.
That’s the part I wish more women knew.
If you’ve struggled with sugar cravings for years, there is a very good chance the answer is not simply:
“Try harder.”
There are actual reasons this happens.
And there are ways to work WITH your body instead of feeling like you’re in a fight with it every single day. 🤎
When do your sugar cravings usually hit the hardest is it in the afternoon, nighttime, or when you’re stressed/exhausted?
