The Qadim Ensemble earns 8/10 in Songlines Magazine.

What a wonderful review of “Entre Las Huertas” in Songlines, one of the world’s leading publications dedicated to global music.

Celebrating the ensemble’s musicianship, the review highlights their centuries-old Ladino songs, preserving and reimagining the rich musical heritage of Sephardic women.

“The Qadim Ensemble have successfully given life to centuries-old songs, with tasteful arrangements and immaculate musicianship.” — Charlie Cawood, Songlines Magazine

Congratulations to Rachel Valfer, Eliyahu Sills, and the entire Qadim Ensemble on this well-deserved recognition.

I’m producing a new original short-form film series with chef and restaurateur Michele McQueen, bringing audiences behind-the-scenes into her culinary world for delicious recipes designed to be made at home.

2027 is shaping up to be Michele McQueen’s breakout year.

McQueen’s restaurant group expands in Uptown Oakland, with chic cocktail lounge Lucy Blue and the brand-new neighborhood bar Five & Dime — alongside her classic Town Fare at the Oakland Museum of California.

If you wanna impress your brunch or dinner guests, these are the best biscuits I’ve ever had. 🔥

Jazz legend Chucho Valdés celebrates his 85th birthday at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theater in NYC this weekend with Joe Lovano, Terence Blanchard, and John Patitucci!

A huge thank you to WNBC / News 4 New York for this wonderful feature celebrating one of the great living legends of jazz. A special shoutout to News Producer Tiffany Zeno for welcoming us and being so gracious in helping bring Chucho’s extraordinary story to New York audiences, with wonderful Spanish translation by Rob Sancho, a longtime family friend of Chucho’s.

At 85, Chucho continues to inspire, innovate, and remind us that through music, we age like fine w**e.

Happy 85th, Maestro Chucho! 🎹❤️

I became the man I am today because of the women I needed and found. 15 years ago we walked down the aisle in Point Reyes, danced to Etta James, and life became what I always dreamed it would be. My forever lady Robyn who’s always by my side. I couldn’t live this life of great ambitions without you my love. 18 years since the day we met at Foreign Cinema, our family garden will always blossom and prosper from all the years of self-reflection, loyalty, repair, compassion, and of course LOVE!

May this day of October 1 always be filled with ch*****ne, sushi, and all the sweetness that life brings. 🥂💕🍣💕

For years, one of my favorite moments in a Lizz Wright concert has been hearing her sing “Amazing Grace”—often a ca****la, with nothing between her voice and the audience. It hits me every time.

It means a great deal to know that the world will finally get to hear Lizz’s extraordinary rendition, recorded with the incomparable Kenny Banks Sr. on piano for their forthcoming duo album, Nearness.

There are songs we groove to, and then there are songs that give us so much back. Take a moment to lean into this beautiful performance.

There is nowhere to hide when a pianist sits alone at a grand piano. And in the case of Chucho Valdés’ extraordinary new solo studio recording, “UNCUT” (InnerJazz), there are no edits, no second chances, just one continuous session of spontaneous genius from the acclaimed steward of Cuban music. Arriving a mere three weeks before his 85th birthday on October 9, the album finds Valdés doing what he has spent a lifetime doing: being in the moment.

“UNCUT,” an eight-track solo piano album recorded by InnerCat Music Group released on September 18, captures a legend in his element, showing why he’s among the great improvisers of the modern era. The entire recording was created as a continuous performance, preserving every note, pause, harmonic turn and split-second decision exactly as it occurred. There is no studio reconstruction of the performance afterward. What Chucho played is what the listener hears.

Thank you Billboard for shining a light on this masterpiece set of performances!
