We're forever grateful to create a place of support an trust in the biggest moments in life. Through pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum-we are here for you in the ways you need us most. šŸ«¶šŸ¤

"We worked with a doula through Lake Country Doulas and had a great experience with our first pregnancy/delivery and so we were very excited when we got to contact them again for our second pregnancy. We had the privilege to work with Hannah for our second pregnancy and while there were some unexpected things that came up with changes in insurance, medical team and some minor health challenges mid-pregnancy; the support we received from Hannah was reassuring and provided the steady support I needed throughout. When I went into labor I felt comforted knowing that Hannah would be there for us, which allowed me to focus on my breath and body. She helped me focus on what was important to me and guided me through my birth, to help me achieve the unmedicated hospital water birth I was hoping for. Hannah was also there for me postpartum when some emotions hit, listened and talked me through resources and ensured I continued to feel supported in the days that followed. My husband and I were so grateful to have her on our team!"

ā€œjust breatheā€ is usually said with love. šŸ¤ But during labor, sometimes the most supportive thing you can do is remind them that they are safe, supported, heard, and not alone.

🫶You don’t have to fix every feeling or find the perfect words. Stay close. Listen to what they need. Offer encouragement without pressure. And remember that sometimes your presence says more than anything you could say.

🄰Supporting partners deserve support and preparation, too.
At Lake Country Birth, we believe birth is better supported when the whole team feels informed and cared for.

šŸ¤Save this for the big day, and send it to someone preparing to welcome their baby.

Your due date is a guide, not a deadline. šŸ¤

There can be so much pressure surrounding those four little numbers on the calendar. As the date gets closer, the questions start rolling in:
ā€œHave you had the baby yet?ā€
ā€œAre you still pregnant?ā€
ā€œWhen are you going to be induced?ā€

But your estimated due date is just that, an estimate.

šŸ’«As you approach and move beyond that date, your care team may recommend additional monitoring or begin conversations about your options.
šŸ’«Understanding why those recommendations are being made can make a big difference in how you experience those final weeks.

You are allowed to ask questions.
You are allowed to understand your options.
And you are allowed to prepare for birth without treating your due date like a deadline.

Your baby has their own timeline. Your care deserves room for conversation.šŸ’›

Your body was made to move. šŸ¤

One of the ways doulas support you during pregnancy and labor is by teaching you different stretches, positions, and movements to help you feel more comfortable and supported as your body prepares for birth.

Sometimes a little movement can make a big difference. ✨

One of the most meaningful parts of doula care is watching someone find confidence in themselves. šŸ¤

Birth can come with so many questions, especially when you've been told what may or may not be possible for you.

šŸ’«Our role as doulas isn't to tell you what choices to make. It's to help you understand your options, provide evidence-based education, offer continuous support, and remind you that your voice belongs in your birth story.

Hannah had the honor of walking alongside this family throughout their pregnancy and into their beautiful VBAC—and what a privilege it was to witness her client discover just how capable she was.

A supportive provider.
A knowledgeable doula.
A family who believed in their birth.
And a mama who did something she wasn't sure she could do. šŸ¤

Thank you, Hannah, for the care you poured into this family, and thank you to this sweet mama for trusting us with such an important part of your story.

Your birth. Your choices. Your story. We'll be here to support you through it.🄰
