Recently we had the opportunity to grant a Live A Dream for one of our long-term residents, Dennis! We took Dennis on a trip down memory lane back to his hometown to explore and reminisce where he had many childhood adventures and memories at the lake he fished at with his dad. To wrap up a perfect afternoon, we made sure to stop at the local pub so he could enjoy his favorite, a burger and fries. No matter how big or small, never stop dreaming!

This week, residents enjoyed an engaing presentation by Todd Walter highlighting the rich history of the Detroit Tigers and showcasing an impressive collection of baseball memorabilia. The presentation brought back cherished memories and gave everyone an opportunity to reminisce about legendary players and unforgettable moments in Detroit baseball history. Thanks Todd!

We would like to recognize and celebrate our "Oh Great One" Employee of the Month at The Willows at Okemos. This award honors a team member who consistently goes above and beyond to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents, families, and fellow staff. Our "Oh Great One" for the month of July is Eileen Doyen.

Eileen is a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant and has been with The Willows since 2009.
"I show up every day for the residents, the friendships, and rewards outweigh the daily therapy challenges. I treat everyone like family whether they like it or not."
