😂 Because apparently we believe in giving our stomach second chances
even when it has a terrible track record.

But here's something I want you to understand as an endocrinologist
if you're constantly experiencing bloating, gas, or discomfort after eating, it's worth looking into WHY.

Food sensitivities, changes in your gut microbiome, digestive conditions, and even hormonal fluctuations can all play a role in how your body responds to certain foods.

And here's the interesting part
your gut and hormones are more connected than most people realize. Estrogen, progesterone, thyroid hormones, and cortisol can all influence digestion.

Occasional bloating happens. But regularly feeling miserable after meals shouldn't be something you just accept.

Be honest
what's the one food you KNOW is going to betray you, but you eat it anyway? 😂👇

Four prescriptions. Zero answers. And none of them fixed the actual problem. đŸ˜€

This is a real pattern we see constantly: a woman shows up tired, with brutal cramps, and real issues on her labs... a struggling thyroid, low progesterone, low testosterone.

All fixable with proper hormone support.

Instead? Birth control (that lowers her progesterone even more), a painkiller, a stomach med to protect her from the painkiller, and a stimulant for the fatigue.

They medicated every symptom and treated zero root causes.

That’s not care... that’s a pileup.

Don’t let this be you.

If your stomach inflates like a balloon after every meal
 we need to talk!

I see so many patients who think constant bloating, gas, and digestive discomfort are just normal.

Common doesn't mean normal!

Your gut microbiome, hormones, and digestion are more connected than you might realize.

Her labs were "perfect." She still felt terrible. 😔

For years her doctor ran the basics... a TSH, a CMP, a CBC... and said she was fine. She wasn't.

We ran a full panel... thyroid, hormones, insulin, cortisol... read it against her symptoms, and everything made sense.

The answers were there all along. Nobody had looked.

"Normal" was never the same as optimal.

đŸŽ™ïž Episode 133 is LIVE!

💬 Comment 133 and I’ll send you the full episode!

Your labs are normal, but you’re exhausted, gaining weight, struggling with brain fog, and feeling like a stranger in your own body. Sound familiar?

In this episode, I’m joined by Dr. Anna Cabeca, triple board-certified OB-GYN and bestselling author, to talk about what’s really happening with women’s hormones in perimenopause and menopause.

We’re breaking down the connection between cortisol, oxytocin, metabolism, and burnout, why doing everything “right” doesn’t always work, and what you can do to start feeling like yourself again.

We also discuss hormone replacement therapy, why keto doesn’t work the same way for every woman, and how your gut and metabolic health influence the bigger picture.

Because normal labs don’t always mean you’re healthy, and menopause doesn’t have to mean suffering.

🎧 Tune in to Episode 133 of Hormones, Metabolism and YOU! and share it with a woman who needs to hear this.

Your late-night snacking might be affecting more than just your waistline

As an endocrinologist, I can tell you that when you eat matters, too!

Eating too close to bedtime can influence your hormones in ways you might not realize.

👉 Insulin & Melatonin: Late-night meals can affect blood sugar regulation and interfere with your body's natural sleep-wake cycle.

👉 Ghrelin & Leptin: Poor sleep can increase hunger hormones and reduce feelings of fullness, leaving you craving more food the next day.

👉 Cortisol: Disrupted sleep patterns can affect cortisol regulation, energy levels, and how your body manages stress.

What if your hormones, metabolism, sleep, and energy are being influenced by something you’ve never been tested for?

Every day, we encounter chemicals through our food, water, air, plastics, household products, and technology. Over time, these exposures may contribute to what environmental medicine calls body burden, the cumulative load of substances our bodies encounter and process.

In this episode, I talked with Nick Pineault, author of The Non-Tinfoil Guide to EMF and creator of the documentary Body Burden: The Toxins We Carry, to unpack what body burden actually means and why it deserves more attention in conversations about health.
We discuss what Nick discovered when he tested his own toxin levels, why testing isn’t always straightforward, and why reducing exposure may be just as important as focusing on detoxification. From plastics and water filtration to sleep, EMFs, and elimination, this conversation explores how environmental factors may fit into the bigger picture of hormonal and metabolic health.

Because your health isn’t determined by one toxin, one lab result, or one isolated system. It’s about understanding the bigger picture and how the different pieces may be connected.

If you’ve been focusing on your hormones and metabolism but haven’t considered the environmental factors that may be influencing them, this episode is worth a listen.

😂 When someone breathing too loudly is enough to send you over the edge
it might be worth looking at more than your patience.

As an endocrinologist, I see how changes in estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, and even thyroid function can influence mood, irritability, anxiety, and how we respond to everyday stress.

And here's something many people don't realize
your gut and hormones are constantly communicating, which can also influence how you feel emotionally.

Now, not every bad mood is a hormone imbalance. But if you're noticing increased irritability alongside poor sleep, fatigue, anxiety, or changes in your menstrual cycle, it's worth paying attention.

Your symptoms deserve more than being brushed off as "just part of being a woman."

Be honest
who's been breathing a little too loudly in your house lately? 😂👇

If your doctor only ran a TSH, you don’t have the full thyroid picture.

Comment RESET 👇

If you’re dealing with brain fog, weight gain, constipation, fatigue, dry skin, or restless legs... and nobody’s run the full workup.... that could be exactly why.

Comment RESET 👇 and let’s actually look.

We’ll order the exact labs you need and read them the right way.

Testosterone is not just a male hormone.

Women make it too...

And many start losing it in their early 30s.

So if your drive is gone, your motivation fell off a cliff, your mood's flat, and your libido packed a bag and left
it's not "just stress" or "just aging."

And it's not in your head.

If testosterone could fix ONE thing first... energy, motivation, libido, mood, or muscle...

What would you pick? 👇
