This week, our nutritionists traded the farms for a conference room in Omaha for Standard’s annual meeting. Two days of market outlooks, a producer’s view from Dwight Mogler of Mogler Farms, insights from the National Pork Board, sessions on trust and integrity, and plenty of hallway conversations about what’s working on your farm.

Together, the team in the room this week brings 237 years with Standard to your operation, and they’re headed back with their notebooks full.

Harvest doesn’t wait for lunch. So in Nebraska, lunch went to harvest. 🐖🌽

The Pilger Pork Feed on October 7 served about 567 meals, more than 200 above last year. A total of 449 of those were takeout, and a lot of them rode out to the fields to feed farmers in the middle of harvest.

Our own Keith Janata and his family were in the thick of it. Kerri made the salad, and Keith kept the serving line moving. Proceeds support the Cooper Family Community Center, a gathering place Pilger counts on all year.
