Your body does not communicate with you through words, it speaks in sensations.

Examples:
*A clenched jaw-Anger, continual self abandonment, weak boundaries that you struggle to voice, unmet needs for comfort.
*A racing heart-Nervous system is stuck in anticipation, fear, pressure, uncertainty, or constantly scanning for what might go wrong.
*Muscles that never seem to let go-Your body has learned that being tense, alert, or ready is how it protects you.
*A nervous system that can't find safety-Your body is still responding to old experiences as if danger is always around the corner.

These are not structural problems, these are nervous system problems directly intertwined with your physiological experience. They are signals, not pathology.

Pain is an invitation to become curious.

What emotion never had space?
What boundary keeps getting crossed?
What grief never got witnessed?
What need has gone unmet?

Your body is trying to get your attention.

The symptom is where the story begins.

I'm looking for a few wonderful humans to help me complete my required out-of-school massage hours for school!

If you've been a previous client, or if you're a current client, I'd love to have you in for a practice session. These sessions are **completely free** and are a chance for me to continue refining my skills while giving you some bodywork.

Your feedback is incredibly valuable and helps me grow into the therapist I strive to become.

If you're interested, **send me a DM** and we'll find a time that works for both of us. I truly appreciate everyone who has supported my journey so far. 🤍

A single rotten raspberry doesn’t rot by itself.

It releases signals that influence the environment around it. The surrounding berries become more vulnerable. The decay spreads. The health of the entire group is affected by what is allowed to remain close.

Humans are not so different.

Neuroscience has shown us that our brains are constantly adapting to the environments we live in. Through processes like emotional contagion, mirror neurons, and nervous system co-regulation, we unconsciously pick up on the states, behaviors, and beliefs of the people around us.

The company you keep becomes part of your internal landscape.

Spend enough time around people who live in resentment, chaos, fear, victimhood, or self-destruction, and your nervous system starts learning that environment as normal.

And the opposite is true too.

Being around people who are grounded, emotionally healthy, growth-oriented, and alive can expand your own capacity for safety, creativity, and possibility.

Sometimes protecting your peace means removing yourself from environments that continuously teach your body to survive instead of thrive.

Look at your circle.

What are you absorbing?
What are you normalizing?
What are you allowing to influence the person you are becoming?

Your environment is not separate from you.

It is shaping you every single day.

✨ A New Chapter for Nervana ✨

This fall, I'm going back to school to become a Licensed Massage Therapist and plan to continue to specialize in treating chronic pain conditions.

Over the last three years, I've had the incredible privilege of helping so many of you through pain psychology, nervous system education, somatic therapy, and sound healing. That journey has taught me so much.
Our nervous systems are wired for connection. While education, emotional processing, and nervous system regulation are powerful and I will continue to provide those services, I've come to deeply appreciate how manual bodywork can help the body let go of patterns of tension, stress, and protection that words alone sometimes can't reach.

Adding massage therapy feels like the next natural evolution of Nervana. My vision has always been to create a practice that addresses the whole person: mind, body, and nervous system. I truly believe bodywork will allow me to support people in an even deeper way.

Because I'll be in school until May 2027, my schedule will be changing:

🤍 I will continue offering my Sound Healing Certification four times each year.
🤍 I will still be available for private events, workshops, and group classes on weekends.
🤍 I will continue seeing private clients on Fridays each week.

To every person who has trusted me with your healing journey, attended a sound bath, shared my work, or supported Nervana in any way, thank you.

You have helped turn what began as a dream into something so much bigger than I ever imagined. It is truly an honor and a gift to do this work alongside each of you. Your trust has allowed me to continue learning, growing, and expanding my ability to serve this community.

I'm so excited for this next chapter and can't wait to bring bodywork into the Nervana experience.

Here's to continuing to heal the nervous system..from the inside out. 💛

We’ve gotten really good at looking for what’s broken in the body.
But what happens when we start looking at the nervous system? What has it been carrying?
Often times, it is fear based patterning that we learned when we were very young.
Combine that with the psychological stressors of being an adult, you have the perfect recipe for chronic pain and symptoms. Those old memories are triggered in our adult bodies as a protective mechanism.
You pain is real. Your story matters.
And so does getting to the root cause which is often in the limbic system.

What if your retreat, yoga studio, wellness event, or corporate gathering was an experience people talked about long after they’ve gone home?
Hi, I'm Trish, founder of Nervana.
I travel throughout North America and Mexico bringing immersive yoga, sound healing, nervous system workshops, and somatic experiences to retreats, studios, conferences, and private events.
Whether you're looking for a deeply restorative sound bath, a mindful yoga practice, or an educational workshop that helps people understand stress, trauma, and the nervous system, I create experiences that are both evidence-informed and transformative.
Every offering is customized for your community. So whether that's a weekend retreat in the mountains, a yoga festival, a corporate wellness event, or an intimate gathering.
If you're looking for someone who can create an experience that helps people slow down, reconnect with themselves, and leave feeling genuinely different than when they arrived...
I'd love to collaborate.

Trauma is, at its core, an energetic phenomenon.
In the biological sense rather than the musical sense that many of us associate the word “energy” with. Every threat to survival mobilizes an extraordinary amount of physiological energy. The autonomic nervous system prepares the body to fight, flee, defend life, or submit. Muscles tense. The heart accelerates. Stress hormones surge. Every system is recruited toward one objective: survival.
Trauma is not defined solely by the event itself. It is defined by what happens within the organism when that survival response cannot reach what is called ‘completion’.
This is where so many misunderstand trauma. We humans are not overly different than other mammals when it comes to our nervous systems and threat detection.
The symptoms are not created by the memory of the event. They emerge from the unresolved residue of a defensive response that became interrupted, inhibited, or frozen. That unresolved activation remains embedded within the nervous system, where it continues to influence physiology long after the danger has passed.
This is the freeze response, the immobilization in the presence of overwhelming activation.
Imagine driving your car with one foot pressing the accelerator to the floor while the other forcefully holds the brake. The engine strains. Heat builds. Components wear under opposing forces.
The nervous system experiences something remarkably similar.
Internally, survival energy continues mobilizing. Externally, the body is unable to act.
The resulting turbulence reverberates throughout the entire organism.
Over months or years, this unresolved physiological conflict may contribute to chronic pain, functional neurological symptoms, digestive disorders, immune dysregulation, anxiety, panic, insomnia, exhaustion, and countless other conditions that often appear disconnected from the original experience.
The body remembers what the conscious mind cannot always recall.
Healing, therefore, is not simply a cognitive process. Insight alone cannot discharge a survival response that was never allowed to complete itself.
Recovery requires restoring movement where there was immobility. It requires gently thawing the freeze response, allowing the nervous system to complete what it was biologically designed to do but was once prevented from doing.
This is why my work centers on somatic healing, nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and energy work.
Trauma is an unfinished biological process carried by the body.
And until the body is given the opportunity to resolve what it has been holding, it will continue speaking in the language it knows best: Symptoms.
