Our 6 week session dedicated to viral chefs is complete. These kids worked hard learning recipes made by their favorites. Our kids studied

Joshua Weissman - making breakfast sandwiches & chicken alfredo
Nigel Ng (Uncle Roger) - making fried rice, katsu curry & mapo tofu

When I talked with the kids at Seneca Street CDC asking them what they wanted to make this year, some of their requests blew me away. Dishes like Curry, Fufu, Alfredo & butter chicken were just some on the top contenders. With all of these dishes making a large portion, we thought it through and decided that feeding our community would just make sense. So that's just what we did. Last week was Carrot mac & cheese….

This looks like a dish I would get at a restaurant.

But what if I told you that this dish was actual created by our Kids Cooking Class? Last night, was our Viral Chef class and we studied Nigel Ng (Uncle Roger)! One student insisted on making Katsu Curry with Chicken (not pictured because they ate it so fast) as well as tofu! Making curry from scratch was not an easy feat, but I am so impressed with how they did.

Is this what I meant? Not exactly but it’s my fault for not being specific enough. Either way, it got the job done and everyone seemed happy doing it. At the end of the day, that’s all that matters!

🚨Personal story drop 🚨

While this will be my team’s 10th Jimmy Fund Cancer Research walk, this year brings on another 1st.

My gal, my amazing cheerleader has spent all these years raising awareness through lemonade stands, stinky sock challenges and just her beautiful caring heart and it's now her time to shine!

This year, Lana is coming with me to Boston to walk in her first ever The Jimmy Fund walk for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute!

Please support us as we walk to raise money for cancer research!

Let's talk about learning from example real quick. It's a skill that I feel is lacking in society these days so if there is ever a time to have Bigs teach little, I'm all in.

I had some “big kids” help out in my classes and wow did I hit the jackpot. I gave both groups a quick instruction on what to do with the littles and they didn't disappoint. I am so proud to be apart of this community of people.
