When your work trip aligns with the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and you get to see your favorite breastie 🎀 it’s been a few years but so great catching up with Jenn Rosa

October can be a tough month for survivors- it can feel like the world is doused in pink and there you are left holding the bag of emotions. Sending you a big hug and know that community is everything! Write your feelings, talk to a friend that gets it, take walk or run to pound out those feelings and know that above everything, you are not alone marketing objective- you are loved!

I saw the most beautiful rainbow 🌈 today and I thought of Erin Powers. I said to myself, “wow so beautiful” only to turn and see another rainbow spot in the other direction. It was colorful and beautiful and filled me with peace.

So sad to hear the news today that one of my podcast friends has passed from Stage 4 breast cancer.

She was so filled with life, curiosity, intelligence and love! She seized every opportunity to live life to the fullest! So much love and prayers to her husband and friends. Grateful to Jody Hollister for introducing us.

As I was in the car driving last week as I was wearing my pink Dolly Parton tshirt, I said to my husband- hey it’s Dolly (on the radio)! It’s almost as if we all knew her, claimed her, loved her! She was one of us 💕

I always admired her talent, generosity and kindness. She had so many layers, but I loved that deep spiritual soul and her kindness that inspired generations to come!

1️⃣3️⃣ Wow! Chapter 13!! And yes I celebrate the anniversary of my cancer. To me, it’s rebirth, an opportunity to keep on living, loving and surviving.

I’ve been reading a book of short stories where every little chapter is its own plot and character introduction. It hardly seems like I get to know what is going on before the next chapter, the next story. It’s definitely different from a regular book where each chapter builds upon the next. But yet, there is an invisible string, an undercurrent of hope and loss, mourning and moving forward.

That’s sometimes how all of these chapters after cancer feel at times. There was the I’m just gonna go out there and live big chapter. There was the I’m gonna be everything healthy chapter. There was the travel chapter and never miss a birthday on Facebook. There was the medical hangover chapter. Each year a tiny capsule of survivorship. There was the exploring Jesus chapter (even though Jesus was there in every chapter). The take a chance chapter, the move across country chapter, the I’m not defined by my job chapter…

So as I start Chapter 13, I am thanking God for every day, every blessing, every chapter. And while 13 has its own notoriety, I feel like the luckiest girl!
