✅ Fill a 5-gallon bucket with pool water to 3 inches from the top.
✅ Place the bucket on the first step of your pool, so it's sitting in pool water.
✅ Mark the water level INSIDE the bucket with tape.
✅ Mark the water level OUTSIDE the bucket (your pool water) with tape.
✅ Turn off your pool pump and wait 24 hours.
✅ Compare:
If both water levels drop the SAME amount = It's evaporation. Florida heat.
If your POOL water drops MORE than the bucket water = You have a pool leak.
This test can save you a service call if it's just evaporation.
