Most ENTs we talk to already know thyroid RFA works. The real question is what it actually takes to bring it into their own practice: the right platform, the right training, and the imaging to support it.

That’s exactly the conversation we’re here to have this week.

RGS Healthcare is at AAO-HNSF 2026 in Los Angeles, and we’d love to see you at Booth 728.

Come get hands-on with our RFA generator and electrodes, try the technique on a thyroid phantom, and see how ultrasound guidance fits into your workflow. Our team will be on hand to walk you through what our training pathway looks like, from phantom work to live cases.

Whether you’re just starting to explore RFA or you’re already doing it and want to expand, stop by and say hello. 👋

Not every thyroid nodule is the same size. So why should every electrode be?

THYBLATE-V2 gives you 13 adjustable active tip lengths, from 3mm to 15mm, in a single electrode. You set the exposed tip to match the nodule in front of you, and your ablation zone follows. 📏

The application? Tailoring your technique from small, tight nodules to larger targets, without stocking a separate electrode for every tip length.

Built to run on the Mygen V-1000 RF platform.

Most surgeons we talk to aren’t asking whether thyroid RFA works anymore. They’re asking how to bring it into their practice the right way: which platform, which training, and how to get confident without spending a year figuring it out.

That’s the conversation we want to have in LA.

The RGS Healthcare team is headed to 2026 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Oct. 17–20. Whether you’re already ablating nodules and want more control at the tip, or you’re still weighing how RFA fits alongside your surgical work, come find us. Ask us about our thyroid RFA platform and electrodes, including adjustable tip lengths that let you match the active tip to the nodule in front of you.

And if you’re ready to get hands-on, ask us about training, from phantom sessions to our final live-patient course of the year, Dec. 4–5 in Brazil.

While you’re at the meeting, catch the thyroid RFA sessions on the program, from indications and basic principles to a case-based discussion Monday morning. The full schedule is in the slides.

Every RFA physician remembers the moment it clicked.

For many, it starts with phantom work, where the technique and hand control become second nature. The next step is putting that foundation to work on a real nodule, with a real patient, and an experienced physician right beside you. That’s often the moment the decision to bring thyroid RFA into a practice gets made.

On December 4 and 5, RGS Healthcare is hosting our final in-person thyroid RFA training of 2026 in Brazil. This is hands-on work with live patients, guided one-on-one by a physician who performs RFA routinely.

You’ll work through patient selection, probe positioning, the moving-shot technique, and real-time ultrasound assessment on actual cases. The format is small and focused, built so your first cases back home feel familiar instead of new.

Whether you’re adding RFA alongside the surgical work you already do or building a new procedural line, this is the most direct path from interest to independent cases.

Seats are limited, and this is the last session before the new year.

A compression fracture doesn’t wait for the referral to go through.

The patient is diagnosed. Then they wait for the next specialist, the next opening, the next approval. Meanwhile, every day is spent bracing against pain, moving less, and losing a little more strength and independence.

For many of these patients, time isn’t a side detail. It’s part of the outcome.

So here’s a question worth sitting with:

How long does a compression fracture patient in your community wait between diagnosis and treatment, and what is that wait costing them?

Practices that bring kyphoplasty in-house are closing that gap. The patient stays with a team they already trust, the pathway gets shorter, and the procedure becomes part of the care they already deliver instead of a handoff.

If you’ve been weighing whether kyphoplasty fits your practice, we’re glad to walk through what that looks like, from equipment to workflow.

One electrode size. Every nodule.

That’s still how a lot of thyroid RFA gets done, which means adapting your technique to the tool instead of the tool to the anatomy.

A small nodule sitting close to the trachea. A large mixed nodule with a cystic component. A regrowth after prior treatment. Each one asks something different of the active tip.

THYBLATE-V2 gives you 13 adjustable tip lengths, from 3mm to 15mm, in a single electrode. Keep the exposure short where the margins are tight. Extend it where you need to cover volume. One electrode across the full range, so the ablation zone fits the nodule instead of the other way around.

Whether you’re just bringing RFA into your practice or already treating nodules every week, it’s worth asking how much of your precision comes from the electrode, and how much comes from working around it.

Most physicians interested in thyroid RFA don’t stall on interest. They stall on the first case.

Watching a procedure isn’t the same as guiding the electrode yourself under ultrasound, adjusting your approach in real time, and knowing exactly where you are relative to the critical structures of the neck. That kind of confidence comes from hands-on reps, and a cadaver lab is where you get them without a patient on the table.

This Saturday, October 10, in Orlando is the final U.S. cadaver thyroid RFA training of 2026.

One focused day built around your hands: no more than 90 minutes of classroom instruction on patient selection, technique, and workflow, and the rest of the day is hands-on cadaver work.

Whether you’re considering RFA for the first time or already performing it and want to refine your technique, it’s worth asking: what would change in your practice if your next case felt routine?

If this has been on your list, this is the last chance this year. Details and registration: https://thyroidrfatraining.com/hands-on-training/cadaver-workshop/

The equipment in your procedure room is making decisions for your practice, whether you realize it or not.

It decides which cases stay in-house and which ones walk out the door. It decides how long patients wait for answers. It decides how confident you feel on a tricky case, and how much time your team spends working around limitations instead of working with patients.

Most practices don’t put off upgrades because they don’t see the value. They put it off because the current setup still “works.” But “still works” and “working for you” aren’t the same thing.

A few questions worth sitting with:

What procedures are you sending elsewhere that you could be doing yourself?
How many of your patients would choose an office-based, minimally invasive option if you offered one?
When your best staff look at your equipment, do they see a practice that’s growing, or one that’s standing still?

The cost of upgrading is easy to see. The cost of waiting is harder to measure, but it shows up in lost cases, longer workflows, and patients who found the option they were looking for somewhere else.

The practices pulling ahead right now aren’t necessarily the biggest. They’re the ones that decided the technology in the room should match the care they want to deliver.

If you’ve been thinking about what’s next for your practice, whether that’s sharper imaging, a better C-arm, or adding a procedure like thyroid RFA, I’m always happy to talk it through. No pressure, just a conversation. Learn more at rgshealthcare.com.

What’s the one piece of equipment you’d upgrade tomorrow if you could? Tell me below.

5 days.

That’s all that’s left until the last U.S. cadaver thyroid RFA training of 2026.

Here’s the wall most physicians hit when they want to add RFA: you can read the literature, watch the videos, even observe a few cases. But nothing replaces having your own hands on the electrode, working through real neck anatomy before your first patient.

On October 10 in Orlando, that’s exactly what happens. One focused day. About three hours of classroom instruction on patient selection and technique, then hands-on time at the cadaver station.

Whether you already operate on the thyroid and want a less invasive option for the right patients, or you’re building a nodule program from the ground up, this is the last chance this year to train this way here in the U.S.

After October 10, the next U.S. cadaver session won’t be until 2027.

If you’ve been meaning to “look into RFA,” this is the week to stop meaning to.

How many cases on your schedule right now are waiting on imaging you don’t control?

For a lot of interventional, pain, and ortho practices, the C-arm is the quiet bottleneck. Booking time on a shared unit. Working around an older system that takes too long to give you a clear image. Holding off on bringing procedures in-house because the capital decision feels bigger than it should.

Meanwhile, those cases are going somewhere else.

Owning your imaging changes the math. Your schedule. Your workflow. Your patients staying in your practice.

That’s why we work with practices on the Extron 3 Omni and Extron 5 Premium C-arms, matched to how you actually practice, whether you’re building out an office-based lab, expanding an ASC, or replacing a unit that’s holding you back.

If your imaging is deciding your schedule instead of the other way around, it might be worth a conversation.
