Here's an awesome article about this legendary haunt by Seth Kubersky! Without Terror, AEOStudios would never exist, and as we prepare to close our doors this week....

A couple of years ago, someone gifted us a chunk of the original building when it was torn down. It is in the shop for viewing.

We still have copies of the video "Making Faces", shot on the site of Terror, with some of your most beloved characters, like Roach. $20. This video covers the trinity of SFX makeup applications: Rigid Collodion, Gelatin, and Latex.

And don't worry, as soon as I can peg a date down for our Big Bad Bye-Bye Garage Sale, we'll let you know!

Hey, creatives! 🤣 In this episode of 'An Artist Prepares,' I'm serving up 'Makeup Design' - the part of the industry where a single misplaced eyebrow can ruin an entire production 😂. The tech fields are like the cool kids who always do their homework, while the actors and directors are like, 'Uh, I'll just wing it.' 🎭 Attention to detail is key, or you'll end up with a hot mess on your hands. Future topics include Monologues (because who doesn't love a good dramatic reading?), Group Ensemble (a.k.a. herding cats), and Shakespeare (where we'll finally learn how to pronounce 'thine' without sounding like a total dweeb). Hit me with your topic suggestions, and don't worry if you disagree - I can take it (I think 😅). Can't wait to dish out my two cents and hear your thoughts! 🎉

Hey there, my fellow creatives! 🌟 Welcome to 'An Artist Prepares,' a guide for artists who are still figuring things out (so, all of us, right? 😂). In this first intallment, 'It All Starts With The Method,' we're diving into the super-important acting method that's the backbone of Western theatre. Trust us, it's essential for anyone in the entertainment industry - actors, directors, tech crew, and even the coffee-fetching interns. It's all about character development, scene direction, and making sure the costumes don't look like they were stolen from a bad 80s music video. 🎤 Future topics include Makeup Design, Acting, and Shakespeare (because, let's be real, someone's gotta teach you how to pronounce 'thine' correctly). Hit me up with your suggestions for more topics, and don't worry, I won't take it personally if you disagree with my opinions - I know there are other ways to do things. Can't wait to share my two cents and hear your thoughts! 🎉

This installment is dedicated to Bonnie Wallace, my acting instructor from who helped me find my voice as an actor, and helped me heal from some of the crappy experiences I experienced at my former school, which shall remain nameless. Rest in peace, girl!

So we enter the final weeks of being open.

Halloween Week is TBA as there are few different things in play that week.

We will have the Big Bad Bye-Bye Garage Sale in November. Date TBA.

Though we will no longer have a physical presence after we vacate the space in November, we will continue to keep our social media accounts open, and will post regularly.

Stay tuned for Drew’s series “An Artist Prepares”, written for those who are preparing for auditions and competitions. He already has the first two installments written: It All Starts With The Method, and Makeup Design. These will be coming out in the weeks to come.

Let us introduce you to Elder Lillie G. Wiggins, Co-Founder of Winter Wonderland ICE in Daytona Beach. Their December 5, 2026, production is themed Africa—“The Motherland” and supports domestic violence awareness, wellness, education, and community empowerment.

They are seeking volunteer to assist up to 10 ladies, with needs ranging from to and for our Talking Rose and Talking Trees.

In appreciation for their generosity, each participating makeup artist will receive:

-Recognition in our event program, including their name and school or business affiliation.
-An invitation to walk the runway during our grand finale.
-One complimentary general admission ticket, which includes dinner, the fashion show, live entertainment, and a stroll through the aquarium.
