Update on my sweet boy 🥹💙🫶🏼

Mateo tested positive for Norovirus and Rhinovirus. Thankfully, his fever has come down some, and after his Neupogen dose last night, his ANC increased to 1,100! 🙏🏼💙 Such encouraging news for my sweet boy!

Although he’s still not 100%, we were able to come home, where I can continue monitoring him closely. 🏡❤️‍🩹 We’re taking it one day at a time and praying for continued healing.

Thank you for all the prayers, love, and support. Please continue keeping Mateo in your prayers as he gets stronger. 🙏🏼🥹💙

Update on Mateo 💔🙏🏼

We have been admitted to the hospital because Mateo’s ANC is very low, and he is still running a high fever. He did test positive for a virus, but we are still waiting on some additional results to determine our next steps.

It’s so hard seeing my little warrior go through this, especially when he’s already been through so much. 😞 We’re praying for his fever to come down, his numbers to improve, and for some good news soon. 🙏🏼❤️‍🩹

Please keep Mateo in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate another hospital stay. 🫶🏼💚

💙🙏🏼 Update on Mateo 🙏🏼💙

Mateo started throwing up late last night and was sick throughout the night. He has also developed diarrhea, and this morning his temperature began to rise. He currently has a fever. 😔

We’re both running on very little sleep after such a long and exhausting night, but we’re grateful to be at the hospital where Mateo can be monitored and cared for. We’re waiting for results and guidance on the next steps, and we’re hopeful that the doctors will have clear answers and a plan to help him feel better soon. 🙏🏼

It’s heartbreaking to see our little warrior feeling so sick, but we’re staying hopeful and taking everything one step at a time. Thank you for keeping Mateo in your thoughts and prayers and for surrounding him with so much love and support. 🥺🙏🏼🫶🏼

Keep fighting, my sweet boy. Mommy is right here beside you, and together we’ll get through this. You are so strong, so loved, and brighter days are ahead. 💙✨

Saturday was truly an AMAZING and unforgettable day for Mateo! 🥹💖✨

Mateo attended his very first gala ever, and it was such a special experience for both of us! 🫶🏼 He also got to meet Bunky for the very first time, and let’s just say he didn’t want to let him go! 😂 He literally said, “I’m taking you home with me, Bunky!” 😭😂💗

One of the most special moments was watching my brave boy walk across the stage for the very first time, all by himself, with his Bunky teddy, of course! 🥹🧸💚 I believe a wonderful donor walked alongside him, and I couldn’t have been prouder watching him up there. He was SO brave, so strong, and absolutely AMAZING! 🥹👏🏼

Seeing him experience something so special, step out of his comfort zone, and shine in his own little way meant more to me than words could ever explain. 💖 He continues to amaze me every single day, and I’m so proud of the little warrior he is!

Our first gala was one for the books, and Mateo is already asking when he can go to another one! 🥹💗 He can’t wait to see Bunky again either… although I’m pretty sure he still plans on taking him home! 😂🧸💕

Thank you Kids Beating Cancer for such a beautiful, unforgettable experience and for creating memories we will cherish forever! 🫶🏼✨

Mateo Update 💚

Mateo’s ANC has slightly increased to 0.4 🥹🙏🏼 It’s still under 500, which means he is still considered high risk, so I will of course monitor him very closely at home. However, because we know he is fighting a virus, he has been fever-free for 24 hours, and his blood cultures are looking good, we are finally able to be discharged home. 🏡🫶🏼

Before we leave, he’ll receive his final dose of Neupogen to hopefully help boost his ANC even more. 🙏🏼💚

We are so thankful for the good news and, most importantly, that our little warrior gets to go home. Thank you all so much for the prayers, love, and support you continue to send Mateo. It truly means more than you know. 🥹💚

💚 Update on Mateo 💚

We were officially admitted to the hospital tonight. Mateo’s ANC was only 0.2, which is extremely low, so they are keeping him here and monitoring him closely. 😞

He has already received his Neupogen shot tonight and is on his routine IV antibiotics, along with fluids. He also tested positive for rhinovirus, so his little body is fighting off a virus on top of everything else.

My heart hurts seeing him go through this again, but as always, Mateo is being such a strong and brave little warrior. 🥺💚 Please keep him in your prayers. Pray that his numbers start coming back up quickly, that his body fights off this virus, and that our baby boy starts feeling better so we can get him home soon. 🙏🏼

💚 Update on Mateo:

Mateo isn’t feeling good again, so we are back at the ER waiting on results and praying for good numbers and, most importantly, good news. 😞🙏🏼

It feels like he just can’t catch a break lately, and as his mom, it’s heartbreaking to watch him keep going through this. All I want is for my baby to feel good and just be able to be a normal little kid without us constantly worrying about the next fever or ER visit. 💔

But through it all, Mateo continues to amaze me with how strong and brave he is. He never gives up, even when his little body is going through so much. 🥺💚

Please keep my sweet boy in your prayers tonight. We’re praying for good numbers, good news, and that we can bring our little warrior back home. 🙏🏼💚
