Peace Church in Hunter's Creek is having a community wide Trunk or Treat that is Autism Friendly. The event will take place Sunday, October 25, 2026 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Please refer to the post for details.

Trunk or Treat Fun for EVERYONE!

At Peace, we believe every child deserves to experience the joy of fall festivities!

Join us THIS Sunday, October 25, from 4:00–7:00 PM for our FREE community Trunk or Treat event!

Along with decorated trunks, candy, games, music, a petting zoo, a pumpkin patch, and more, we’re excited to offer a dedicated autism-friendly space for children who may benefit from a quieter, more comfortable environment.

Our goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive experience where every family feels comfortable, celebrated, and included.

One event. One community. Fun for everyone!

Bring the whole family! We can’t wait to see you!

This is why discussions must take place during IEP meetings about fortifying ESE classrooms. Our children will not be able to fight, stay quiet, or exit a classroom during high anxiety situations. We must be part of the discussion on keeping our special kids safe.

All victims in the Oregon school shooting Thursday were shot inside one special needs classroom. A teacher tried to fight away the shooter's gun, helping to prevent more bloodshed before a father took down the shooter, police say.
