MOON Co-op MOON stands for Miami Oxford Organic Network. Our goal is to empower the members of our community to live a more sustainable lifestyle.

Our goal is to empower the members of our community to live a more sustainable lifestyle. We hope to accomplish this by:

* Providing a retail outlet for products that are produced in ecologically acceptable ways
* Utilizing local and regional producers to strengthen the local economy and reduce transportation costs
* Educating consumers and producers about sustainable principles and choices
* Informing consumers about where their food comes from and how it is produced
* Providing a place for the sharing of diverse foods and cultures

Our worldview incorporates all living things and the earth as members of our community. Issues such as the ethical treatment of animals, respect for ecological health, fostering social equality, celebrating diversity, and ultimately, ensuring a sustainable world for future generations, depends on the choices we make today. As a food cooperative, we hope to enable our community members to make locally sustainable choices in recognition of our larger global responsibilities.

One of the things that makes MOON special is the relationships we’ve built with local growers over the years.

Meet Craig Harkrider of Stoney Hedgerow Farm, one of the local farmers bringing fresh, seasonal produce to MOON.

Right now, that includes an incredible assortment of winter squash and peppers, with varieties you probably won’t find in your average grocery store.

It’s one of our favorite things about working with local farms. You never quite know what interesting things will show up next!

Next time you’re in MOON, take a few minutes to explore the produce section. You might discover something new.

We are thrilled to welcome Harvest Moon to the co-op! Starting today, you can find their artisanal, handcrafted breads fresh on our shelves!

If you've been around here a minute you know that I LOVE MOON Co-op so I am stoked to announce that you can now find our products there!

Moon has the best bulk section I have ever seen and I source a lot of ingredients there. They have tons of organic and local produce, dairy, and home staples and an amazing deli with delicious soups and sandwiches!

And if you shop in Oxford often, you know Kroger can be a bit of a madhouse. So if I ever have the option of going to Moon over Kroger, it's a no-brainer.

You don't have to be a member (but members get some good deals) so there's no reason not to check it out!
