Last week, Dr. K. Brandon Strenge attended the SMISS Annual Forum 2026 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, joining spine surgeons and researchers from across the country to discuss advances shaping the future of minimally invasive spine surgery.
But he wasn’t just there to attend.
Dr. Strenge took the podium as a presenting author and was recognized as a co-author on multiple research presentations during the conference.
His research involvement included studies examining:
• Accelerated spinal fusion using P-15 peptide-enhanced bone graft in minimally invasive and open TLIF
• Outcomes of three-level ACDF with and without minimally invasive posterior cervical stabilization
• Safety outcomes following minimally invasive posterior cervical stabilization with three-level ACDF
• The effect of tissue-sparing posterior cervical fusion on adjacent segment degeneration
These were randomized, multicenter studies presented as part of SMISS’s CME-accredited scientific sessions.
For our patients, this is what makes involvement in research so meaningful: the techniques, technologies, and outcomes being discussed on a national stage are directly connected to the work being done right here at Strenge Spine Center.
We’re proud to see Dr. Strenge and Strenge Spine Center represented among physicians and institutions helping advance the future of spine care.
National research. Advanced spine care. Right here in Paducah.
