☀️ HUMANS OF PALM SPRINGS: SOMEONE GIVE THIS MOM A MEDAL! 🏅💙
Meet a Cielo Vista Charter MOM who has more energy before breakfast than most of us have all day! 😂
⏰ 5 AM wake-up call? Check!
🚶‍♀️ Walk her daughter to school? Check!
💪 Gym before work AND with her daughter after school? Also check!
She joined our Walk Your Superhero to School celebration, walking from Demuth Park to Cielo Vista Charter School with her daughter and other families a couple of weeks ago.
And guess what? Just 10–15 minutes of walking, some sunshine, a little playground fun, and they were both ready to take on the day!
Meanwhile, some of us are still negotiating with our alarm clocks. 😴
We love her energy and the example she’s setting for her daughter. Because sometimes the best way to teach healthy habits is simply to do them together. 💙
Your turn, Palm Springs! Are you a 5 AM superhero or a five-more-minutes kind of person? 😂👇

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Clandestino's Blue Ribbon Celebration this morning!

From mocktails to cauliflower ceviche, Clandestino offered just a taste of what makes this restaurant a delicious and nourishing destination.

But here's what else we celebrated: Clandestino's commitment to supporting well-being for their amazing staff and community.

A special thanks to Palm Springs Mayor Pro Tem David Ready and Council member Ron de Harte for joining us.

And Liz Ostoich: thank you for not only being an incredible Blue Zones Project Palm Springs steering committee member, but an inspiration for business owners across the desert.

🏙️ Quick question: how many places within a mile of your house sell to***co? If you’re not sure, you’re not alone — Riverside County doesn’t currently limit how many to***co retailers can set up shop in one area, or how close they can be to schools, parks, and other places kids hang out.

A proposed update to the County’s retail rules would change that — capping the number of to***co permits per area and keeping new to***co retailers a reasonable distance from schools, parks, and other to***co shops. Nothing closes, nothing changes today — just something worth knowing about your community. 🌴

Follow along all season as we break down what’s actually in the proposal.

Cape optional. Walking shoes required. 🦹🦸

This morning, more than 200 students, families, educators and community members hit the streets for National Walk to School Day!

Blue Zones Project Palm Springs teamed up with Cielo Vista Charter School and the Palm Springs Police Department for a superhero-themed celebration of the everyday heroes who make our community stronger—from educators to families, neighbors and local partners.

Because sometimes being a hero is as simple as showing up, walking together and starting the day on the right foot.

Keep walking, Palm Springs—and keep showing us your superpowers!

🌴 If it’s Thursday, it’s time for a new ! 💙
This week, we’re catching up with Palm Springs City Councilmember Jeffrey Bernstein about what helps him live well in Palm Springs.
His recipe? Pretty simple. 👇
🚶 Walk through one of our parks.
🚲 Bike instead of drive when you can.
⛰️ Slow down long enough to appreciate those incredible mountains.
💙 And get inspired by the volunteers who show up for our community every day.
For Jeffrey, those volunteers are part of what makes Palm Springs special: “You feel like they’re really part of the community, and you get to be joined in the inspiration that they provide.”
Sounds very Blue Zones to us: Move Naturally. Connect. Belong. And enjoy the place you call home. 🌴☀️
🎥 Meet Jeffrey and then tell us: What’s your favorite way to move naturally around Palm Springs?
