Preparing for a hunt doesn’t need to be complicated.

Your post-season training is no exception.

Keep it simple.

Make it fun.

But for the love of your fitness, don’t take the next 3 months completely off because:

There’s fewer better feelings than climbing in to freshly clean sheets on a Sunday evening.

Rogue could not agree more.

Also, the first podcast dropped in about four months.

5am-9am: workout, side hustle, morning reps at the r***e or archery range, morning meditation, dog training, quiet time spent alone, quality time with significant other

9am-5pm: work your full time job, stay at home with the kids, volunteer your time

5pm-9pm: workout (if not done in the morning), side hustle work, gear tinkering, range time, quiet time spent alone, quality time with significant other, quality time with kids prior to bedtime

9pm-5am: sleep

The 5-9’s tend to have a delayed result/gratification..maybe thought of as an investment.

The 9-5’s tend to have the most impact with the present..

Zooming through 2026 and getting older (never old)..

Time is something we don’t get back.

You know that though.

How are you using your time?

Have you thought of your daily structure in this way?

Alaska mountain Goat Hunt: ✅
Alaska Caribou and Moose: ✅/✅ (kind of)
Oregon Archery Elk: ✅
Wisconsin Whitetail: coming soon

The best part of all these hunts, I didn’t change my training plan a single bit.

I didn’t have to “train” for the mountain goat and the elk hunt.

They were simply an event on the calendar to check off the list once they were.

The training didn’t require endless hours of zone 2 training.

I didn’t spend 5 days a week in the gym (quite the opposite as I haven’t lifted weights in about 3.5 months).

I was able to get outside whenever I wanted to enjoy the few days of sunshine we had this summer in Alaska.

My clients get to do the same thing once they’ve finished the program.

Keeping it stupid simple gives the design a lot of flexibility for life to happen..and for you to still be successful with your training plan.

Now it’s back to work with in-person patients and online clients.

Restructuring the program after two years of feedback is fun..especially on a chilly evening with a few things pumpkin to snack on 🙂

Cheers to fall 🍂🍁
