Once a child becomes nearsighted, the condition tends to increase over time, requiring stronger prescriptions.
That is why we are enrolling children ages 5-11 with nearsightedness (myopia) in a clinical trial to help evaluate treatments that may slow the progression of myopia.

✅ No cost to participants for study visits, procedures or supplies
✅ Study-related eye exams included
✅ Help advance children's vision care

For more than 15 years, Dr. Gayathri Srinivasan has focused on one goal: making sure children don’t fall behind simply because they can’t see clearly.

The National Eye Institute recognized that commitment in 2025, awarding her and a nationwide team a grant to expand this work through the Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) Network Challenge.

With this support, Dr. Srinivasan’s team works to ensure that pediatric eye and vision-screening data, which is often missing or incomplete, is more consistently added to several key databases to study other health conditions and treat patients. Read the full story: https://buff.ly/Ecpk8Vw
