What if your genetics provided insight into WHY you may be struggling with health and weight issues?

Consider that if someone was born with a reduced ability to detox… what could that mean as they grow older?

It’s our environment that “pulls the trigger” on our genes. So what if a person with these genetic weaknesses was exposed to everyday toxins such as pesticides in their food… chemicals in the air…mold in their home…mercury in the fish they eat…BPA in their water bottles and food containers? Just to name a few.

It makes sense that an accumulation could build up and come out as random symptoms. These symptoms often lead people running in circles to many different doctors with completely different body system specialties. But they never connect the dots to how everything may have a connection and same root cause.

One big overlooked “symptom” I see often is weight loss resistance.

Before you reach for the next “tool” out there that includes a short term protocol, consider investing in looking at how your body was WIRED from the beginning.

For people who don’t detox well and don’t know it, I love a concentrated detox/drainage protocol for most anyone… but often people are missing that the detox process needs support on a daily basis with targeted nutrients….long after their protocol ends.

I take a genes first approach on most everything now.

This is how you know what you don’t know and find out how to best support yourself now and into the future.🌈

Reach out for more information. I’m working on a new pricing structure coming soon.

Knowing my genetics has been invaluable. It has shown me the “WHY” and what I should be prioritizing for better aging.

I have loved this topic so much that I’ve done 6 different genetic company tests on myself🤣.

Not including my Epigenetic testing which is a story for another day.

The reason I’ve gone to these lengths is because every company is quite different in their reporting and actionable insights. The only way I could know how I could utilize this information and help others get the most out of testing has been for me to go through the process myself.

Keep following as I continue to share and will be announcing when I’m able to offer special pricing coming up for the holidays.

I’m now offering more than one company to choose from, depending on your goals and budget.

Genetics show us our body’s “owners manual”🧬

My newest food obsession? LEEKS!

Since returning from Greece, I think I’ve eaten four entire leek stalks. I’m putting them in just about everything, as I absolutely love their flavor!

One thing my trip to Greece really reinforced for me is the importance of getting back to FOOD FIRST.

I love my supplements, and I certainly believe they have their place. But sometimes we forget how much information we’re giving our bodies through the foods we eat.

Food isn’t just calories and nutrients. It also contains compounds that can influence how our cells function and communicate. Food is information.

Take leeks, for example….

They’re part of the Allium family, along with garlic and onions, and contain some pretty interesting bioactive compounds, including sulfur compounds and polyphenols.

Research suggests these compounds may help support the following…

- Our body’s natural antioxidant defenses

- Healthy inflammatory responses

- Gut health and beneficial bacteria

- Cardiovascular and cellular health

Some Allium compounds are even being studied for their ability to influence cellular signaling pathways like NRF2, something I’m particularly interested in when it comes to healthy aging.

We can get so focused on the latest supplements, peptides, and longevity tools that we may be overlooking some of the simplest ways to support our biology.

The foods we eat every day are part of the signals we’re sending our bodies.

Consider that the best place to start is right on our plates.

Anyone else love leeks? I’ve been roasting and sautéing them and adding them to just about everything lately!

My genetics have helped explain so many issues I’ve personally dealt with!

Myself and all my kids have this FTO gene and it’s so interesting to see that play out in real life.

Now I know why my grocery bills were always so high.😳

This is why I prioritize vegetables, protein, and healthy fats, and even I’m experimenting with how low doses of the popular “pep” can support my weight control. The one I’m using now I don’t believe is the right fit for this purpose.

I love the genetic insights so much…. I can’t get enough learning on these topics. This is why I keep going with deeper education from more than one mentor and testing company.

You don’t know what you don’t know.🧬

I believe the genetics is one of the most important testing we can do to learn how we are wired.

I recently did a GI Map on my daughter and the results were incredibly helpful in seeing what was going on.

I decided to try this one on myself to compare the tests, and I liked seeing that Tiny Health looks at this Urolithin A marker, as for me that will be interesting to know!

Our gut health is linked to everything! Our immune system, our mood, our brain health, our skin, our clearance of hormones, our ability to absorb nutrients…just to list a few very important topics.

If we want to age well we need good gut health!

I don’t talk about this topic alot on social media because it’s not my primary passion to share on here, but it’s always part of the conversations I have privately with clients.

Nutrient deficiencies are a HUGE problem and can even be the root cause for many of the symptoms people complain about!

If there are GENETIC weaknesses that require a higher need for certain nutrients, it’s no wonder so many people are struggling and missing what they need to be prioritizing.

Have you tested your gut recently and was the data helpful?

Comment “Quiz” and I’ll DM it to you.

Let’s be more aware of how daily toxic exposures can add up to a load that our bodies need to figure out how to deal with.

Toxins can wreak havoc in any and all organ systems.

AND age us faster.

In my own family, toxins have contributed to weight gain, weight loss resistance, anxiety, skin issues, brain fog, gut dysfunction, hair loss, hormone imbalances… I could go on and on!

While some people do need to dig deeper with testing and more focused protocols, there’s not anyone out there who wouldn’t benefit from protecting their cells and trying to mitigate the damage.

Take the Quiz to get yourself thinking of what may be adding to your toxic load.

The one question I had to take a pause and think about was regarding my daily workout wardrobe! That’s a hard one to give up, so for now I’m choosing to increase my detox supports. My Lululemon and Vuori collection are too large to say goodbye to.😳

Comment “QUIZ” and then check your DM’s… you need to be following me to see.

I’ve been thinking about what really defines my approach to health and aging in midlife, and what my motto would be.

If you know me, you know I research things to death.😂

I question everything. I compare products, ingredients, studies, testing options, and new approaches. I connect the dots. And yes, I try most everything on myself.

I’m not loyal to one mentor, brand, protocol, or philosophy. I’m loyal to finding what makes the most sense for the individual.

And the more I learn, the more I realize doing MORE isn’t always the answer. Sometimes it’s about doing LESS, but more strategically.

That’s why I’m so passionate about personalized testing, GENETICS, and understanding our individual biology.

I want to help people stop wasting time and money on things they may not need and make more informed, targeted health decisions.

And I never stop learning.

I continually invest my time and money into further education, learning from different experts and perspectives. Because expanding my knowledge isn’t just an investment in myself. It’s an investment in the people who trust me with their health.

And that TRUST means everything to me.

I’m grateful for the people who continue coming back to me for guidance. I don’t take that lightly.

I’m genuinely invested in helping people figure things out. I give my time, keep digging, and I’m always willing to rethink a recommendation when new information comes along.

I don’t pretend to have all the answers. But I’ll never stop asking questions.

Curiosity. Integrity. Precision. Generosity. Advocacy. Lifelong Learning.

Those are the values behind what I do.

Now I’m curious…

Are you getting this kind of personalized attention and guidance with your health? Is someone really connecting the dots for YOU?

And if we’ve worked together, I’d love to hear what stands out to you about my approach. ❤️

Ready to stop guessing and get more strategic about your health? Comment STRATEGY and let’s talk.

We talk a lot about what nutrients our bodies need. But are we actually absorbing them?

I’ve been sharing quite a bit lately about genetics, nutritional deficiencies, and why I believe we need to be more targeted with our supplements.

But there’s another piece we can’t overlook.

Our GUT HEALTH!

We can identify nutrients our bodies may need, but if our digestion or absorption isn’t functioning well, we may not be getting the full benefit.

Gut health goes well beyond nutrient absorption. Our gut microbiome and intestinal lining play important roles in inflammation, immune function, and overall cellular health.

I’ve been so focused on other areas of my health lately that I realized it’s time to revisit my own gut health. I just ordered a comprehensive microbiome test, something I haven’t done in a very long time.

In the meantime, one of the things I’ve added to my daily routine over the past few months is this simple gut product from CellCore.

I really like the formulation. It combines nutrients to support the gut lining, prebiotic fibers to nourish beneficial bacteria, and probiotics for microbiome support.

And one of my favorite things? It’s NOT another pill! I simply add it to my daily water bottle.

I look at this as a simple way to support everyday gut health.

Of course, if someone is dealing with significant digestive issues, bacterial overgrowth, or other gut dysfunction, that’s a different conversation. You may need to dig deeper, do some testing, and address what’s actually going on.

But supporting our gut health shouldn’t be something we only think about when we’re having symptoms.

Because it’s not just about what we’re taking. It’s also about how well our bodies can digest, absorb, and utilize what we’re giving them.

Another important piece of the healthy aging puzzle!

This is linked in my story today or comment “GUT” and I’ll send it to you.

Top number one recommendation on my report?

Cruciferous vegetables!🥦🥦🥦

NRF2 activator ingredients are at the top of the list too.

If you are only testing MTHFR and think that’s the only thing you need to focus on, that’s like only reading one page of a book!

Did you know estrogen needs to be detoxed too?

I don’t want to age just “ok”, I want OPTIMAL aging for myself.

What if one of the simplest ways to support healthy aging is to help turn ON your body’s own cellular protection genes?

This is one of my favorite topics in cellular health, and something I believe more people need to know about.

We hear so much about taking antioxidants. But there’s a difference between supplying an antioxidant and “activating” the pathways that help our bodies produce their OWN protective enzymes.

One of those pathways is called NRF2.

When appropriately activated, NRF2 helps regulate genes involved in antioxidant defense, glutathione production and recycling, detoxification, and cellular protection.

As an alternative to taking glutathione? Yup.

Research continues to explore how specific plant compounds can influence these protective pathways, including the botanical ingredients in this yellow pill and sulforaphane from broccoli sprouts. I use and recommend both, just ask.

What’s most interesting to me is the genetics connection.

When I review someone’s genetic testing, I’m looking at variations in genes involved in glutathione metabolism, antioxidant defense, and detoxification.

These can provide clues about where someone’s cellular protection systems may need additional attention.

For me, healthy aging isn’t just about adding random supplements. It’s about understanding and supporting the biological processes that help protect us every day.

NRF2 research is promising, and we’re still learning how different interventions translate into long-term health benefits. If you go to PubMed you will find 1000’s of articles. See next screen for one good example.

Curious what your genetics might reveal about your own cellular defense pathways?

Comment GENES, and I’ll share how personalized genetic testing can help us better understand your biology.
