AI is becoming part of the infrastructure of identity.
And identity is the gateway to the digital economy.
In between meetings in New York, I joined leaders from Mastercard, Experian and Women in Identity to discuss the future of AI and inclusive digital identity.
One thing was clear:
AI will increasingly shape who gets access — to financial services, healthcare, digital platforms and opportunity.
That’s powerful.
And it comes with responsibility.
Because bias doesn’t always enter intentionally.
Often it slips quietly into the data.
And when AI scales… so does the impact.
With 16% of the world living with a disability — and populations aging — accessibility and inclusion must be designed from the start.
The future of digital identity isn’t just about technology.
It’s about trust, governance, and human impact.
If AI becomes part of our global infrastructure…
we have to build it in a way that expands opportunity for everyone.
