Five years of Intentional—and a night that reminded me why we started. 🖤

Did we sell thousands of dollars in treatment packages? No. Did the evening feel like a huge success? Absolutely.

We celebrated the people who have invested in themselves and placed their trust in our practice. Patients, providers, friends, and family showed up with so much love, and I couldn’t feel more grateful.

You know I love a quote and a theme, so we borrowed a little Superman inspiration for the night: Be your own kind of SUPER. But the SUPER feeling behind the night is perfectly stated by this famous quote:

“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

That’s what I hope everyone carried home: the feeling of being seen, welcomed, appreciated, and cared for. It’s certainly what you gave me.

To each of our providers: I have so much love and respect for you and the heart you bring to this practice. To our patients and everyone who came to celebrate: thank you for being part of these five years.

Here’s to another five years of Intentional Aesthetics & Wellness—helping people feel whole, feel welcome, and feel like themselves.

A weekend in Newport Beach spent learning from some of the best in our industry. 🤍

Opportunities like this are rare, and I’m incredibly grateful that AMET trusted me to attend this exclusive educational experience hosted by Evolus. I’m grateful to work with a company that sees the value in investing in continued education.

I’m 53. Save this if you have SKIN.

Because I’ve done A LOT of things wrong—and I’m not afraid to admit it.

☀️ Baby oil at the lake? Absolutely.
☀️ Tanning bed membership? Of course.
☀️ Picked my face like it was my job? Still accepting applications.

Fortunately, my nursing career gave me some unique access to a little Botox starting in my early 30s. Did I really understand what it was? Nope. Could I have afforded regular treatments back then? Also nope.

I was also a big Arbonne girl in the early 2000s, and if it taught me anything, it was that consistency and routine matter.

And here’s the part where I’m supposed to tell you that now, as an aesthetic nurse practitioner, I do everything perfectly.

I don’t.

I still pick my face.
I still feel skinnier with a tan. 😬
I still stop my retinol when I KNOW I need to push through the red, flaky stage.

I’m a realist.

Good skin isn’t about perfection. It’s about understanding what actually matters, being consistent most of the time, protecting the skin you have now—and making intentional choices moving forward.

No shame. No lies. No pretending I’ve been wearing SPF since 1985.

Just 53 years of skin and a passion to care for my patients in a safe, non-judgmental space.

Trending with my 28-year-old daughter Laurel … because apparently ridiculous questions are the best way to demonstrate facial anatomy. 😂

But here’s the real point: beauty and youth need very little altering.

Those expressions we make all day long eventually leave their mark. Neurotoxin, when used thoughtfully, can soften repetitive movement and help prevent those dynamic lines from becoming static lines at rest.

As a mom AND Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner, I’m very aware of the slippery slope that can exist in aesthetics—especially for young women. More is not better. Different is not the goal.

Respect the face. Use restraint. Preserve what’s already beautiful.
