A familiar carrier is a starting point. The client's needs should guide the recommendation.

In this Devoted training clip, the focus is on understanding when a carrier is the right fit for a particular member.

For Medicare agents, that means looking beyond a recognizable name. Review the provider network, prescription drug formulary, benefit design, and costs alongside the client's priorities.

Knowing a product well includes knowing which client needs it may serve—and when another option deserves consideration.

What question helps you understand a client's priorities before comparing plans? Share it below. 👇

Save this for your next needs assessment and share it with an agent learning a new carrier's products.

Plan availability, benefits, networks, formularies, and costs vary by location and plan year. Verify current plan documents.

People cannot reach out for your help if they do not know what you do.

For insurance agents building a local business, visibility begins with a simple habit: clearly explain who you help and how you help them.

Show up consistently in appropriate community settings. Build relationships, answer questions within your expertise, and give people a clear way to contact you when they need support.

Grassroots marketing takes time. Each useful conversation is another chance for someone to understand the value you bring.

If you had one sentence to explain what you do, what would you say? Drop it below. 👇

Save this before your next networking event and share it with an agent who is ready to become more visible.

Would your community know who to call with an insurance question?

Building local relationships starts with being useful. Community staff and organizations may hear questions from older adults who need help understanding where to turn.

Introduce yourself through appropriate channels. Learn what questions come up, explain how you can help, and follow through when you offer support.

For insurance agents, becoming a trusted community resource takes more than handing out a business card. It takes listening, consistency, and respect for the people you serve.

What is one question you hear often in your community? Share it below. 👇

Save this for your grassroots outreach planning and send it to an agent who enjoys helping people locally.

Day 7 of Medicare AEP: Success belongs to the agents who keep showing up.

AEP is a marathon, not a sprint. Stay focused, stay prepared, and remember that every appointment, follow-up, and client conversation is an opportunity to make a positive impact.

You may not see the results of every conversation immediately, but consistency, education, and genuine service build trust that lasts.

What keeps you motivated during the busiest days of AEP? Share it below and encourage another agent. 👇

Save this reminder for the challenging days ahead and tag someone who continues to show up for their clients.

You checked the primary doctor. What about the rest of the care team?

A Medicare plan conversation should account for more than one provider. Specialists, home health providers, and other services a client relies on can be easy to overlook when the appointment feels rushed.

Ask the client who is involved in their care. Then verify relevant network participation and coverage requirements for the specific plan before making a recommendation.

One extra question can bring an important care relationship into the conversation.

Which provider or service is easiest to miss during a needs assessment? Add it in the comments. 👇

Save this for your next plan review and share it with a Medicare agent who values a thorough client conversation.

Provider participation and coverage requirements vary by plan and can change.

Your next referral may start with how you serve the client you already have.

Paid leads can help an insurance agent get started. Consistent follow-up, clear communication, and dependable service help build the relationships that keep a business growing.

When clients know who to call and feel supported after enrollment, you give them a reason to remember you—and a reason to tell someone else about their experience.

Referral growth takes time. Start by building a client service process you can repeat, even during your busiest weeks.

What makes you recommend a professional to someone you care about? Tell us below. 👇

The enrollment is complete. Does your client know what to do next?

For Medicare agents, client service continues after the application. A new plan can mean updated member information for the primary care office, specialists, and pharmacy, and a client who needs help understanding the next steps.

A thoughtful follow-up can uncover confusion before it becomes a frustrating experience. Confirm the application status, explain what happens next, and help the client prepare to use their coverage when it takes effect.

What is one thing you always check after enrollment? Share your best follow-up tip below. 👇

Benefits, effective dates, provider participation, and pharmacy arrangements vary by plan.

Being in the hospital doesn’t always mean being admitted as an inpatient.

A client may spend hours, or even overnight, in a hospital under observation status without technically having an inpatient admission. That distinction can affect whether certain hospital indemnity benefits are payable.

Agents should clearly explain how a policy defines terms such as observation, admission, confinement, and hospital stay before the client needs to file a claim.

Did you know observation status and inpatient admission can be treated differently? Comment “YES” or “I DO NOW” below. 👇

Save this for your next client conversation and share it with someone who needs this important reminder.

Coverage and benefit eligibility depend on the policy’s definitions, terms, and conditions.

Accident insurance and hospital indemnity insurance aren’t identical, and clients deserve to understand the difference.

An accident policy may provide benefits for eligible medical treatment resulting from a covered accident, while hospital indemnity coverage may provide benefits for a qualifying hospital admission or stay. When both policies apply, they may offer separate layers of financial protection.

The key is understanding what triggers each benefit, what exclusions apply, and how the policies may work together.

Could your clients explain the difference between these two coverages? Comment “YES” or “NOT YET” below. 👇

Save and share this with an insurance professional who believes informed clients make stronger decisions.

Benefits and eligibility depend on the specific policy terms and conditions.

The lowest monthly premium doesn’t always mean the lowest healthcare cost.

When comparing Medicare coverage, clients need to understand the complete financial picture, not just the premium. Copayments, deductibles, coinsurance, and other out-of-pocket expenses can significantly change what a plan costs over an entire year.

During AEP, help clients compare total estimated annual costs based on their healthcare needs, not simply the number printed beside “monthly premium.”

Medicare agents: Which do clients ask about first—the premium or their total potential costs? Share below. 👇
