🌸🍂 Apparently, some flowers Didn’t Get the Memo! 😂🌿

Here we are, halfway through October, and there’s still a few stubborn flowers hanging on for dear life! I can’t say I blame them. I’m not quite ready to give up the sunshine and warm days either! 😂❤️

But Mother Nature has other plans, and whether we like it or not, fall is here and winter is creeping around the corner. 🍁❄️

As the garden starts winding down, my herbal kitchen is just getting warmed up!

🌿 Elderberry – For a little extra immune support during cold and flu season.

🌿 Echinacea – One of my go-to herbs when the seasonal sniffles start making their rounds.

🌿 Mullein – A traditional favorite for supporting the respiratory system.

🌿 Ginger – Because sometimes we need a little warming from the inside out!

🌿 Nettle – Packed with nourishing minerals to help carry us through the colder months.

The flowers might be calling it quits, but this herbalist sure isn’t! I’ve got herbs to dry, tinctures to strain, teas to blend, and plenty of things brewing. 🌙🌿

And those last few flowers? I’m cheering them on! Hang in there, girls… winter will get here soon enough! 😂🌸

Different season, same herbal magic. 💚

🌧️🍲 Taking a little break from herbs today… but I’m still cooking something up! 🌿❤️

Nothing like a big pot of homemade beef stew simmering away on a lovely rainy day. Cozy kitchen, delicious smells, and some good old-fashioned comfort food!

Sometimes the best medicine is a warm, home-cooked meal made with love. ❤️

A little less herbal magic today and a little more kitchen magic! ✨

Another order, another small batch being made 🐝🌿

Today it’s my Propolis Skin Repair Cream.

Made with propolis, calendula, plantain, self-heal, organic extra virgin olive oil, aloe, vitamin E, beeswax, lavender and chamomile essential oils, and grapefruit seed extract.

I love making these in small batches so they stay fresh and each batch gets the same care from start to finish.

Contains bee products.

Extract-making day 🌿

I’ve been spending a lot of time lately going deeper into Lyme and co-infections and adding to my materia medica as I study.

Some of these herbs are ones I use specifically in Lyme-focused herbal support, while others may be chosen depending on the person, their symptoms, and the overall picture.

Japanese knotweed, Chinese cat’s claw, peach leaf, and astragalus all have very different roles, which is exactly why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.

That’s one of the things I love most about herbal medicine — continuing to learn, looking at the whole person, and choosing herbs that actually fit what’s going on. 🌙

If you’re looking for individualized herbal support, I do offer consultations.

Extract-making day 🌿

I’ve got several different herbs going today — some that I use specifically in my Lyme and co-infection work, and others that are more supportive depending on the person and their symptoms.

I’ve also been spending a lot of time lately going deeper into Lyme and co-infections and adding to my materia medica as I study. The more I learn, the more I’m reminded that there really isn’t one “Lyme herb.”

Japanese knotweed and Chinese cat’s claw are two I reach for often in Lyme-focused protocols, while peach leaf and astragalus may fit more as supportive herbs depending on the individual presentation.

That’s one of the things I love most about herbal medicine — looking at the whole person, continuing to learn, and choosing herbs that actually fit what’s going on. 🌙

If you’re looking for individualized herbal support, I do offer consultations where we can look at your symptoms, history, medications, and the whole picture together. 🌿

Elderberry syrup has been flying off the shelves lately! 💜

I’ve been making it in small batches so I can keep it fresh and make each batch with care.

Elderberries are packed with antioxidants and have traditionally been used to support the immune system, especially during cold and flu season. I make mine with elderberries, cinnamon, honey, and a little brandy — simple ingredients and lots of love.

There’s just something about making it from start to finish in small batches that I really enjoy. 🌿

Keep refrigerated.

The more I study Lyme and coinfections, the more I realize just how much there is to understand about the herbs we use. 🌿📚

Lately I’ve been building out my Lyme materia medica, one herb at a time, and taking a much deeper look at each one.

I’m breaking them down by:

* herbal actions
* key constituents
* Lyme and coinfection relevance
* specific symptoms
* preparations and dosing
* cautions
* herb + drug interactions

I’ve been studying a mix of Chinese herbs, Western herbs, and other traditional herbal medicines, and I love seeing how differently each plant can support the body.

It’s not just “this herb is for Lyme.” One may be chosen for inflammation, another for neurological symptoms, another for Babesia support, circulation, immune modulation, or tissue protection.

This kind of study is what makes herbal medicine so interesting to me. The more I understand the plants, the more thoughtfully I can choose them for the individual person in front of me. 🌿💚
