Looking for a way to give back to the community while meeting your public benefits work requirements?

Feast of Justice is offering volunteer opportunities at its food pantry that may help individuals meet work requirements for SNAP or Medicaid, depending on their eligibility. Volunteers can help support local families while gaining valuable experience and making a difference in the neighborhood.

Opportunities include flexible shifts Monday through Saturday, with some evening and Sunday availability. Part-time and full-time schedules are offered, and there are roles for people of all ability levels.

We're excited to bring our community partners, organizations, and neighbors together again for an evening of connection, collaboration, and updates on programs and resources serving the northeast community!

🔹 Adult & Teen Challenge – Inpatient substance use rehabilitation and long-term recovery options.

🔹 BenePhilly – Benefits case management services and important updates to medical and food assistance programs in Philadelphia.

🔹 Accelerated Misdemeanor Program (AMP Court) – An overview of the program and its expanded availability in Northeast Philadelphia and other PPD district courtrooms across the city.

FARADAY POUCH GIVEAWAY CONTINUES.

Many PUSH BUTTON START vehicles are being stolen by having the key signal relayed. If your key fob is within a short distance of your vehicle, even if inside your home, a readily available device can be used to relay the signal to your vehicle. The thief can then open your door and drive your vehicle away. Storing your key fob in a faraday pouch can prevent the signal from being captured.

The 7th Police District Advisory Council is giving away faraday pouches to 7th Police District residents to help fight the auto theft problem. Simply stop by the 7th Police District, Bustleton Avenue and Bowler Street, 24 hours a day to pick up your pouch for free.

Remember, these are only for vehicles with a push button start. Registration required. Limit one per vehicle. Offer only for residents of the 7th Police District.

🚨 COMMUNITY ALERT – HONDA TIRE & RIM THEFTS 🚨

The Philadelphia Police Department 8th District is reminding residents to be vigilant following multiple reports of tires and rims being stolen specifically from Honda vehicles.

🔴 Honda owners are encouraged to:
• Park in well-lit, highly visible areas whenever possible
• Use a secure garage or monitored parking area when available
• Consider installing locking lug nuts
• Check your vehicle regularly, especially if parked overnight
• Report any suspicious persons, vehicles, or activity in your neighborhood
• If you see a crime in progress, call 911

👀 BE AWARE: Offenders may target vehicles during overnight hours and can remove multiple wheels quickly.

If you have security cameras, Ring cameras, or other video surveillance, please check your footage and report any suspicious activity to police. Any footage can be forwarded to [email protected]
