💉 Different doesn’t always mean wrong… let’s talk tubes.

After 19 years in phlebotomy, one thing I’ve learned is exposure and experience matter.

Not every phlebotomist has seen every brand, every tube variation, or every situation — and that’s exactly why conversations like this are important.

A simple misunderstanding can lead to rejected specimens, redraws, frustrated patients, and stress on the professionals trying to provide great care.

This isn’t about blame — it’s about education, communication, and raising standards together.

After 19 years in phlebotomy, one thing I know for sure…

The best phlebotomists are not measured by how fast they clear a list or how many patients they can get through.

Numbers matter… but people matter more.

Behind every tube is a patient trusting you with their care.

Accuracy. Specimen integrity. Compassion. Skill.

That’s what separates a blood draw from quality healthcare. ❤️
