When My Cat Told Me He Was Ready to Cross Over

Some stories stay with us forever.

Many years ago, while driving through the Ponderosa pines near Flagstaff, Arizona, my beloved cat, Tigger, told me something I wasn't ready to hear.

He and Lucky were preparing to cross over.

But Tigger did more than tell me it was time. He shared his wishes for their final resting place and helped me prepare for a goodbye I would never forget.

I've just published their story on Substack, along with a photograph of these two very special companions.

It's a story about animal communication, love, grief, and the beautiful lessons our animal companions leave behind.

Have you ever awakened from a dream knowing it meant something—but had no idea what it was trying to tell you?

Dreams have been part of my spiritual journey for most of my life, and over the years they've become an important part of both my healing work and my teaching.

I've recently begun a new series on the Whispering Winds Healing Arts YouTube channel called The Power of Dreams. In it, I'll be exploring why we dream, how dreams communicate with us, recurring dreams, symbols, healing through dreams, asking for guidance before sleep, and some of the extraordinary ways dreams have shown up in my own life.

I'm also working on a book about dreams, so the videos and the book are growing alongside one another. Some of what I'm discovering and writing will become teachings here, and some of the questions that arise through the videos may eventually find their way into the book.

I'm beginning with “Your Dreams Have a Purpose.”
