The East End Food Co-op is proud to be Pittsburgh’s only member-owned natural and organic foods grocery store. As we grow and strive to meet the changing needs of our members, customers, and community, we remain true to our roots by continuing to uphold the cooperative values we were founded on. Best known for our bulk foods and produce departments, we specialize in a variety of organic and local products. Our commitment to sustainability is demonstrated by the care that our buyers take in selecting all of the products available throughout the store, including fair trade coffees, local products, and environmentally-friendly household cleaners. We also provide for the special dietary needs of our customers by offering a wide variety of gluten-free and raw items in addition to our cutting-edge supplements.

Grateful for Trevor Community Cultures for an excellent Wild Herbal Sodas & Vinegar workshop! Attendees were treated to a fermentation primer, followed by a hands-on demonstration encouraging them to experiment and craft their own blueberry soda (or pop, if you want to keep it extra local.) Our last Register Round Up partner for 2026 is Community Kitchen Pittsburgh! Ask your cashier to round your total up to the next dollar, and at the end of the quarter, East End Food Co-op will donate that total to our partner.

Community Kitchen Pgh offers training programs, transitional employment opportunities, apprenticeships, and job placement services that are designed to meet participants where they are and connect them with stable, higher-than-entry-level positions in culinary or adjacent industries that lead to wage progression and professional growth.
