I think we’ve gotten a little confused about what these medications are supposed to do.
You’re still supposed to get hungry. You’re still supposed to eat.
The goal isn’t to see how long you can go without food or how little you can get away with eating.
And feeling hungry doesn’t automatically mean your medication isn’t working.
If your food noise is coming back or you’re struggling with hunger all the time, that’s a conversation worth having with your prescriber.
But can we please stop acting like being hungry on a GLP-1 means we’re doing something wrong?
I’m curious…has taking a GLP-1 changed how you feel about being hungry?
