Allegheny County Department of Human Services will host a virtual town hall to help our community prepare for upcoming changes to Medicaid coverage.

Major federal changes take effect January 1, 2027, putting up to 26,000 Allegheny County residents at risk of losing coverage. Join us to learn what’s changing and how providers can help prevent unnecessary disenrollment.

As another summer of Social Seniors comes to a close at Shawnee State Park, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make each month so enjoyable!

A special thank you to Bedford Commissioner JR Winck and Beth Garner, Parks Program Coordinator, for being part of this special program. We are also incredibly grateful to our wonderful entertainers, Kathleen, John, and Tom, who shared their talents and brought so much enjoyment to our gatherings.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time to help serve each month, and most importantly, to all of our Social Seniors who attended, participated, and made each gathering so memorable. Your smiles, conversations, and friendship are what make this program truly special.

Finally, we would like to extend a very special thank you and happy retirement to George! Throughout the summer, George generously shared his knowledge through his monthly presentations. We are grateful for everything he contributed and wish him all the happiness and relaxation that retirement has to offer!
