🎀 OCTOBER IS HERE, AND I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU… 🎀

With it being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I’ve had so many new faces join this community, and I’ve realized that I haven’t shared my entire story here. 💗

Some of you know I was diagnosed with breast cancer at just 25 years old, shortly after becoming a mom. But do you know how I found my tumors? Do you know what happened next?

My journey changed my life forever. It brought some of the hardest days I’ve ever faced, but it also showed me a strength I never knew I had.

God, PLEASE go before EVERY warrior facing scans today. 🎀

Bring peace where there is fear.
Bring strength where there is exhaustion.
Bring comfort while we wait.
Bring clarity to every result.
And please let these scans bring good news, healing, and hope. 🩷

Calm the racing thoughts.
Quiet the “what ifs.”
Give every patient the strength to get through the appointment and the waiting that follows.

Lord, place Your healing hands over every body being scanned today. Protect every warrior, guide every doctor, and surround every family with peace.

For anyone reading this who has scans today:

You are not facing this moment alone.
We are praying with you. We are believing with you. And we are holding onto hope with you. 🎀🙏

Mammogram Day. 💗

These appointments never stop bringing back memories, but they also remind me how far I’ve come. Every scan represents another chance, another milestone, and another reason to keep moving forward.

Hi, I’m Caitlin.

I was originally diagnosed with Stage 2B breast cancer in May 2022 at just 25 years old. My treatment journey included freezing my eggs, chemotherapy, a mastectomy, radiation, extensive lymphedema therapy, targeted hormone therapy, and Verzenio—which came with some of the toughest side effects I experienced. I was also placed into medically induced menopause at just 25 years old.

After undergoing my mastectomy, my pathology revealed that my original diagnosis had significantly underestimated the extent of my cancer. I was then diagnosed with Stage 3B invasive ductal breast cancer. It was devastating news, but it strengthened my determination to keep fighting.

Today, I’m 30 years old. Thankfully, I haven’t needed any additional surgeries, and I’m continuing to move forward one step at a time. Survivorship isn’t always easy, but every follow-up appointment, every mammogram, and every clear scan is something I never take for granted.

If you’re feeling anxious before your mammogram or any follow-up scan, please know you’re not alone. I’ll be thinking of you today. 💕

Showing up scared is strength.
Smiling through the exhaustion is strength.
Crying and still choosing to keep going?

They see the pink ribbons.

The awareness posts.

The ‘stay positive’ quotes.

But they don’t always see the reality behind breast cancer.

The anxiety before every scan.

The tears after everyone goes to sleep.

The body you barely recognize in the mirror.

The exhaustion that no amount of sleep fixes.

The loneliness that can exist even in a crowded room.

But here’s what I’ve learned about warriors like us…

We still show up.

We still love.

We still fight for joy in the middle of uncertainty.

And somehow, even after everything cancer tries to take, we continue becoming stronger versions of ourselves. 💗

If you’re in survival mode right now, this is your reminder:

💕You do not need to have it all together to be incredibly brave.

Read that again. 🎀

To the women carrying invisible battles while trying to smile through them — I see you.

But because giving up was never an option. 🎀

To every woman fighting breast cancer right now:
