When Ken was diagnosed with sickle cell disease, his family believed it was a lifelong condition. Then, they learned a stem cell transplant could offer a cure. His sister, Gina, proved to be a donation match.​

Thanks to her incredible gift, Ken is now home, thriving and back to playing basketball and building Legos.​

We recently had Ron Courson and Glenn Henry from Emergency Care in Sports come out to work with our FC Dallas athletic trainers and local first responders, evaluating and elevating our emergency response skills. It was an action-packed two days filled with interprofessional collaboration, skill development, and learning how to be prepared for any emergency. It was an honor to have these experts in our field share their wisdom with us as we continue to strive to provide the highest levels of care.
