ABA Term of the Week! 🗯️

This week’s term is Positive Reinforcement! 🌟 Positive reinforcement means adding something meaningful or enjoyable after a behavior to encourage that behavior to happen again. Whether it’s praise, extra playtime, or another favorite activity, reinforcement can make learning new skills fun and motivating! 💙

Meet Dolly! 🐔❤️

About a month and a half ago, this sweet chicken showed up on our playground and decided to stick around! We’ve lovingly named her Dolly, and she’s been a fun surprise for everyone. Our clients have had the opportunity to see an animal up close, learn about her, and even help feed her! We love the unexpected moments that bring a little extra joy to our days. 🐓🌿

This week’s term is Assent! 💬 Assent means respecting an individual’s choice to participate, pause, or take a break during an activity. Everyone communicates in different ways, and recognizing those signals helps create a more comfortable and respectful environment. 💙
