Somatic work isn’t a trend or a technique. It’s a way of paying attention to what your body has been trying to communicate, and creating enough safety for something different to become possible.

I sometimes work with several members of the same family, and each person receives an experience that belongs entirely to them.

I’m not there to determine who is right, carry messages between family members, or use one person’s story to define someone else. I help each person notice their own patterns, their own protective responses, and their own internal signals.

When one person develops more awareness and more choice in how they respond, that can influence what becomes possible between them.

If you’re wondering whether this work could support members of your family, a consultation is a good place to start. Link in bio.

A layoff can affect income, identity, belonging, routine, and the future you thought you were building. Your body may respond before your mind can fully understand what happened.

A clenched jaw, a tight chest, an unsettled stomach, disrupted sleep. Those responses don’t mean you are handling it badly. They may be signs that your system recognizes the magnitude of what just changed.

Feel what is here. Reach for support. Then choose your next step when you have a little more capacity.

Somatic therapy isn’t about talking through what happened. It’s about noticing what’s happening in your body right now, and creating enough safety to stay with it.

Save this for the next time your head feels heavy, tight, or pressured.

Your scalp contains layers of connective tissue associated with muscles around the forehead, temples, and back of the head. Clenching and bracing can involve the scalp, jaw, neck, and shoulders as part of a larger pattern.

Use the pads of your fingers, move slowly, and remember, more pressure is not more effective.

Save this for the moments when you notice yourself gripping through your stomach or low belly.

Stress can change our breathing and create protective bracing through the abdomen, hips, back, and pelvis. This gentle position gives the body support and an opportunity to use a little less effort.

You’re not forcing a release. You’re creating enough space to notice whether your body is ready to soften.

I started thinking I was building a massage practice. I didn’t know I was also building a relationship with myself.

Reinvention isn’t a straight line. You follow what you’re curious about. You find your own way. You let go of what doesn’t fit anymore.

And eventually you look up and realize you trust yourself in a way you never did before.

That’s the work. In the office and everywhere else.

You’ve spent a long time holding, doing, caring for others, and staying ready for whatever comes next. Sometimes what we need isn’t another thing to figure out. We need enough space to listen.

That’s part of what we’re creating in Italy. November 2-11, 2026. A small group of 8. Comment ITALY or DM me and let’s have a conversation.

You don’t have to know exactly where the work is going before you follow what you’re noticing. That’s how this practice was built. One curious step at a time.

I started thinking I was learning massage therapy. I had no idea that curiosity about why someone’s body was tight would eventually lead me somewhere entirely different.

We don’t arrive at some finished version of ourselves or our relationships. We stay curious, extend grace, keep growing, and keep choosing how we want to live.

That’s what our ceremony was about, and it’s what this work is about too.
